Exactly. Semen will be able to chuck it deep and successfully against the OAK corners. Broncos have this game, if decent effort is given.

Will they even start him?

The Raiders will win this game I truly believe it. They're gona run all over the Broncos. The Broncos defense is beat to shit. I think Oakland will do enough to win.

The Raiders Oline is very good and they have WR that will help McGloin out. I figure they can score 17-20 points which would probably be more than enough with the Broncos offense. Raiders defense will be pumped up to help the team out. Will be interesting to see how they look.

I figure Oakland will use a heavy ground attack like they did the last game against Denver. And your right they should be able to score 17-20 points without much from the passing game. Denver could win but I doubt it.

Take this however but Denver may be shutting down some starters and evaluating talent. Lynch will probably start. I think we took the wind out of their sails.

really no idea.. but not sure it matters. One below average QB to the next. Gameplan should remain similar. Under good pass pro, chuck it deep to very good WRs against bleh CBs.

Denver is going to maybe need 20 points to win this game and that's asking A LOT from them.

Getting Ward back will be big for them. Don't see McGloin scoring much on them

I agree with this and again reiterate that McGloin will benefit from the much better team that is assembled around him.

That said, playing your first game of the season with that group against a Broncos team that was just humiliated on national TV in their own house could prove too tall an order. If there was a match-up that benefits the Broncos and hurts the Raiders it is this one, but I still believe the drop-off from Carr to McGloin won't be as great as some might suspect.

He wasn't going to throw it to anybody else in that situation.

Already said Carr > McGloin. Just don't think the drop-off will be that much.

Also posted in the game thread (but it belongs here) that the way Carr broke his leg it could take him 6-7 months to recover. Means he won't be back until training camp at the earliest.

It's 6 to 8 weeks, not months

Nope.

Evidently the way he broke it the doctor they were interviewing said that it will take 6-8 weeks on crutches, then another 6-8 weeks to strengthen, then another 3-4 months to get to the point where you can do the things that NFL QBs do with their legs. Evidently when you break the leg due to a an ankle twisting it breaks some sac that surrounds the bone and is important to connecting the lower leg to the upper leg and that needs to heal separately from the bone itself (which, in a normal situation, you are correct would take 6-8 weeks). It is the way he broke it that requires the extra rehab.

I'll try to find the video - was informative.

At the end of the day I don't really care if it takes him six weeks or six months, just found the video to be interesting...

O.city 12-26-2016 11:45 AM

That is interesting. I was just going off schefter tweet, I hadn't seen that.

Wasn't this the same thing TO had and came back for the SB?
