Seantrel Henderson’s career at Miami had its share of disappointing moments. Another came Thursday when the offensive lineman couldn’t finish his workout at the Hurricanes’ Pro Day.

“He went there intent to do the bench and position drills but his competitive spirit took over and he did a full combine,” Henderson’s agent David Levine told the Sun Sentinel. “At the end of the workout he got dehydrated, started getting a super bad headache, felt like he was going to throw up and didn’t do the last two O-line drills.”

According to Levine, Henderson improved on his broad jump and vertical jump from the combine, posting a ‘8’6” broad, and a 28 ½ vertical. He also benched 225-pounds 25 times. At the combine, Henderson posted a 7’9” broad and a 24-inch vertical.

“He did everything we needed to see,” said an executive from one NFC team. “He just looked pretty winded at the end, but they put them through it.”

Hendersom's interesting. Huge, absolutely huge, with unreal speed for a guy his size.

Prototypical Dorsey pick.

planetdoc 04-03-2014 05:49 PM

dont think dorsey would waste even a 6th round pick on him....though he might try to pick him up as a UDFA.

Packers NFL Draft History: Ted Thompson Loves College Left Tackles
excerpt below

Quote:

You see, Ted Thompson likes college left tackles. He likes them A LOT. The track record of offensive linemen he has drafted in recent years seem to indicate that if you were not a starter for your college team at left tackle for an extended period of time, you will not be a Green Bay Packers draftee. This theory does not apply to undrafted free agents, however, as the team has brought in many college guards and centers after the draft is finished.
Stephenson, Fisher, and Allen were all college LT. Kush (Dorsey's other 2013 offensive line draft pick) had 9 collegiate starts at LT, but played center the last 2 yrs of college.

Direckshun 04-04-2014 12:02 AM

Su'a-Filo and Yankey have played a season at LT.

Really all this does is further sell the idea that Zack Martin is a Chief.

not a workout warrior. He didnt run at the combine, average vertical/broad.

His bench was great, but he has under 33" arms....which makes it easier.

Dorsey drafts workout warriors.

A bevy of Miatas will be shat if we take a linemen in the first this year.

the Talking Can 04-04-2014 11:10 AM

it would be stupid, pathetic, and demoralizing if this admin spent back to back firsts on OL...jesus fisher christ

Which is why he might take a flyer on Boston College's OT Matt Patchan in the fifth or sixth round.

Freak level measurements at the combine, including an "unofficial" 4.84 40 and a 33 1/2" vertical at 6'6", 306 lb.

Like I said in my mock, Patchan has all the tools. He's just never seen the field due to numerous football and non-football injuries. Played one year out of a possible six.

Direckshun 04-04-2014 10:23 PM

Uhhhh...

This year, they better stay way from guys with injury flags.

You take a guy like Patchan in the sixth if he's there. The potential very much outweighs the injury risk.

And you just make sure he doesn't get shot again or run over by a car while driving his scooter.

I've mentioned him as part of the Olineman I would consider:
http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...8&postcount=19

Oldschool might have been the first to mention him: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...41&postcount=3

If you want to see all the players that I think may be on the chiefs "short list" (with corresponding chiefsplanet links) you can see them here: http://boards.kcchiefs.com/forum/kan...aft-short-list

Sorry. I don't cheat on Chiefs Planet.

Oh man, hate to hear stuff like this:

Quote:

Clemson T/G Brandon Thomas tore his ACL during pre-draft training last week.
It's a disappointing blow for one of our favorite O-Line prospects in this draft. Thomas manhandled Jadeveon Clowney in Clemson's 2013 matchup with South Carolina, and was a 36-game starter on Tajh Boyd's blind side for the Tigers. He was a sleeper to be drafted in the first round. Thomas won't be available for his rookie NFL season, though some teams may now view him as a "value" pick.
Source: ESPN.com Apr 7 - 2:37 PM
We can probably get him in the 5th now though. He won't be useful for next season though.
