But is it explained why she has zombie pets? Other than looking cool, why would you travel with them? Seems like they would slow you down. What possible use could they serve? And why aren't they still trying to attack her? Why would they just hang out 10 feet behind her?

And please, no spoilers. I'm just curious as to whether it's actually explained in the comics.

There is one fairly intuitive reason to have tamed walkers in your vicinity at all times. And from what I understand it is in the comics.

Again, my mistake and my bad. Posting here is quite different than posting on some place like /r9k/, where it's a constant battle of ruthless assholes.

Aww dammit! I thought you were goin to be a complete tool. I guess you're ok. (for now). I'll refrain from abusing you.

Also, thanks mods for the signature.

Can it be changed to something funny though?

Ok, there you go. Weird request.

The finale has renewed my faith in this show. I don't know what happened with Darabount and how the show got so off track at the end of Season 1 and the beginning of season 2, but ever since the Mid-Season finale it's started to get back on track. The season 2finale now has the show exactly where I wanted it to be. It could be that good every week if they keep following close to the comic.

There is still a lot of territory to cover with this story, and the best is yet to come. Season 3 should be the best season yet if it's done well.

Nope, but someone does, over and over, its pretty brutal. If it does happen at all, it will happen in season 3. Is all i can say.

Anyways, The Walking Dead has HUGE ratings over 9million watching. Thats insane.

show is a beast

I just checked out the new game coming out in a few months. Apparently, they're going to release it in installments like a comic book. It looks pretty badass. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

It seemed like at the beginning of the season they were trying to get more in depth with the characters. They were trying really hard to build them up so that we would have a better "understanding" of who each character was.
Also, I do recall AMC cutting the funding on the Walking Dead by a pretty significant amount (which is why Darabont quit the series), so I'm sure that the reduced funding played a large role in making some episodes less eventful.

Pretty shitty move on AMC's part in my opinion. It's a show that they produce, and it turned out to be a HUGE hit. So what did they do? The told them to produce 13 quality episodes for the same amount of money that it took to make the first 6 episodes.

I'm hoping that AMC realizes the awesome product they have here and they put out the best show possible.

Gonzo: Nice signature edit. Classy, yet comedic.

That's my thinking. Not reading the comic books yet has no real effect on my enjoyment of this show. They are different entities (and have clearly taken slightly different paths of storytelling).

Essentially, a dick, yes.

It makes no sense at all to watch this show without having some knowledge of the comic books. I don't read comic books, but when I watched the pilot episode, I figured that "hey, I don't want to be one of those douchebags, so I should probably glance at the comics".

No.

It makes plenty of sense. You're just dense.

I've never read the comics, nor would I ever be caught in a comic book store spending money on a comic book.

I watch the TV series because I enjoy zombie movies and flicks.

You don't have to make it sound like it's an awful thing to do. You could have just said, "I don't like comics."

The path has diverged so much from the comics to the show (only season 1 episode 1 was spot on), by now nothing is the same at all except the characters.

People that have died on the show are alive in the comics and people that have died in the comics are alive on the show.

kcxiv 03-19-2012 07:44 PM

Its using the comics as a blue print and have somewhat stayed in line. There are things that are different no doubt about it.

cabletech94 03-19-2012 08:01 PM

fantastic episode.
while i was wrong on my "who's gonna die" list (don't care, they were nobodies), total fanboy reaction at the last 2 juicy end pieces.
can't wait for the fall, when the real shit goes down!!!!
