Stonewall PK against Chance at the death....ridiculous.

Ref was too big of a pussy to make a call like that.

However, tonight, I'll make an exception. Let's play a third game at Livestrong! :D

That is why it will never break the top 3 in the USA.

Exactly, this is the U.S. we can do whatever we want. it should be a best of three series.

They can't finish at all, and this has been a problem for years. Maybe the owners will finally plug that hole? Maybe? Without 1 or 2 players that can finish a goal, like at least once in their lives, SKC will never with the league.

Reaper16 11-07-2012 10:19 PM

All that said, this is a team that makes KC proud. So much heart and determination.

...it's on the verge of doing exactly that, already.

I didn't mind "shoot on sight" for the first 75 minutes; it's absolutely called for and a good approach. However, afterwards, that philosophy is moot, as you're no longer trying to get the defense to respect your range. At 75+, you've got to create high-percentage chances, and Sporting has been abysmal at ball movement all year. Tonight was about as good as I've seen in the short game, and it still wasn't enough. EVEN WITH THAT SAID, they still focused on crosses far more than they should've, especially considering the hands and aerial ability of the Dynamo GK. I did recognize their deliberate attempts to make Houston respect the middle, but that's even more difficult when you've got 10 men crowding the penalty box. Just a really difficult task, but we could've done SO much more, and Vermes had no place using zero subs.

I still say either just play one game or play a series. Aggregate is the dumbest playoff format I have ever heard of.

Ehhh... in the stadium, yes. On TV and in gear worn? Not even close.

Especially on TV. It was a fluke the game was even aired on National TV.

Vermes is MLS' Marty. We will not win a championship with him as head coach He is a regular season coach only.

ROFL You do realize the only reason that is is because the average soccer stadium seats more than the average basketball arena?

Reaper16 11-07-2012 11:20 PM

San Jose is down 0-3 to LA, making it 0-4 aggregate in favor of the Galaxy.

What the **** reason is there for succeeding in the regular season?

Demonpenz 11-07-2012 11:43 PM

Playoffs are a crap shoot. Good season. Predictable finish.
