Yeah, I had a pretty shit year this year. In my defense, I hated the Buchanan pick from the moment I made it.
Jesse Williams turned into this years version of Chase Minnifield for me. He ended up going undrafted last year and I'm pretty sure I took him in the 2nd. In the end, I think I'm going to have stuff like that happen to me most years; I'm really risk-heavy when it comes to guys that are starting to slide due to injuries. Faulk also went undrafted and that's a guy that could be a legitimate badass if he ends up healthy. I'll use comp picks on that kind of player every time. So yeah...not such a good year from a 'value' perspective for me, but we'll see how the performances turn out. P.S. Alvin Bailey going undrafted is bullshit. I didn't even see that one. G'damn, no wonder I got piss-pounded. |

This whole mock draft thing has really gone to hell since Pest got involved.
|
I feel pretty good. My worst fault was taking Rod Sweeting who went undrafted in the bottom of the 5th.
The problem is that a bunch of other guys in the 6th-7th also went undrafted. In addition to Geno Smith falling to the 2nd. That was also bad. Oddly enough my big "reaches" that everybody claimed I was making wound up being my best value. Travis Frederick at the bottom of the 2nd and LeVeon Bell at the top of the 5th wound up being pretty solid. I also thought I should have gotten more credit for my Duke Williams pick in the 7th, but whatever. I was honored to pick for Kansas City. Had a lot of fun doing it. I think based on the results of this year, Sfeihc needs to be the GM for 2014. |
Yeah - he beat everyone's ass badly enough that he should probably get the job by TKO.

I'd still like to know why Reddick went undrafted.
I thought I'd get some good value points for that pick and it filled a need nicely. Sucks when you are proud of a pick and that kinda thing happens. |

I reached big time on Okafor and Nassib.
Yikes. As far as accuracy is concerned, my draft was a giant, steaming, pile of meh. |
Honestly, if you look at my thread "Let's Talk ILBs," I had almost all of them rated higher than they actually went.
Meh well. When you factor in all the small school guys that we never see and always get drafted, it about fits. |

Measureables count for a shitload. If you were productive and talented, but can't run a 40 to save your life, you really are ****ed up the ass. If you did nothing in college but blazed your workouts, you will be overdrafted. |

I still think that the majority of the guys I selected will be productive. I am concerned as to why Rambo fell as far as he did. It's hard to evaluate DBs without watching them in person but the limited film I saw I thought he'd be a 3-4th round guy. |
I try to find players I really love and then mix in crazy value picks when the value isn't there for the guys I fell in love with.

The first player I drafted that wasn't a guy I was all googly-eyed for was T. King in the 5th for the Lions. He filled a great need for the Lions and was a decent value.

Chip Kelly got a major steal there. |
I feel we should revisit our selections at the halfway mark.

Make it happen cap'n. Also respond to the pm I sent you a while back.

Travis Frederick is my only all-rookie team member. I must say, though, I got some meh reactions from everybody, but I knew he would be a super solid pro. That's about all you can expect from a 2nd round pick.
Packers 1. Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame (starter) 2. Travis Frederick, C, Wisconsin (pretty good starter) 3. Johnathan Franklin, RB, UCLA (injured and Eddie Lacy'd, but looked good for awhile) 4. Josh Boyce, WR, TCU (Patriots depth) 5. Rod Sweeting, CB, Georgia Tech (depth) 5. Devin Taylor, DE/OLB, South Carolina (depth) 6. Keith Pough, OLB, Howard (no clue where he is) 7. Omar Hunter, DT, Florida (no clue where he is) Chiefs 1. Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia (starter) 3. Barrett Jones, OL, Alabama (worthless AIDS drinker) 3. Nico Johnson, ILB, Alabama (depth) 4. John Simon, DE/OLB, Ohio State (depth) 5. Le'Veon Bell, RB, Michigan State (pretty good starter) 6. Chris Gragg, TE, Arkansas (depth) 6. AJ Francis, DE/DT, Maryland (depth) 7. Duke Williams, S, Nevada (depth) |
Geno Smith 1 overall.

Damontre Moore – Dud, Waived by Giants, Still plays for Dolphins
Eric Reid – Stud, 2014 Pro Bowl, Concussions may end his career early, however. Margus Hunt – Dud, still plays for the Bengals, but hasn’t done anything great to date Giovani Bernard – Meh, 3500 yards from scrimmage in his first three seasons, but is ceding some work to Jeremy Hill. Dallas Thomas – Dud, starts on the Dolphins O-Line, but is pretty atrocious Robert Alford – Meh, Falcon’s starter at CB, nothing to write home about Bennie Logan – Stud starting at DT for the Eagles, great run stuffer Brandon Jenkins – Waived in 2014 Reid Fragel – Was on the Chiefs Practice Squad this year Zac Dysert – On the Buffalo Bills Practice Squad BW Webb – On Tennessee Titans Practice Squad Shawn Williams – On Cincy’s Roster, not a starter Cornelius Washington – On Bear’s roster, put on IR after the first game of the year Sanders Commings – Released by the Chiefs Ricky Wagner – This was a pretty good pick. Starter for the Ravens since 2013. Ryan Otten – UDFA who didn’t make it |
