Putchs and Forum cafeterias knew what they were doing. I never had a bad meal in either.

Are you sure? Chess pie is very "eggy" while pecan pie has a lot of corn syrup in it, right?

I think you are thinking of custard pie

Maybe its the style my Mom made and the places down south I have eaten it but I thought it tasted like the part under the pecans in a pecan pie.

Hell, compare the price of a grocery list buying strictly healthy vs. buying unhealthy options. Eating healthy is upwards of twice as expensive, even at home.

Add some lettuce, spinach, or other greens; eggs; and milk - all as needed from the local grocery store since they spoil.

NOT EXPENSIVE.

I've always been told chess pie is pecan pie without the pecans - and it has tasted like it whenever I've tried it.

That sounds wonderful. I shall get my mom to make this "chess pie".

Every Christmas I talk about how awesome it would be to have a pecan pie wihout pecans. I only want crust and goo. That's what she said.
