A 2 down player won't win you a SB, but he may do a fair amount to get you there. There are only a few guys out there that can routinely drag their offense out of 3rd and long so a player that's instrumental in setting those up is pretty valuable.

I agree, but like you I usually prefer to swing for the fences.
If you're a team like the Redskins though, and you need that run stuffing NT, I wouldn't argue taking Reed at that spot. I actually mentioned earlier he would've probably been the pick if Elliot didn't fallen in my lap. That would've been me trying to get a direct hit as opposed to picking who I'd take though (Coleman).
In Raglands case, I wouldn't pull the trigger in the 1st because of his Pro Day reports.
