To the people who know offensive line:

Would it be better off if Hudson was moved to guard, Kush at Center and Allen/Fulton/Johnson at the other guard spot?

It might have to do with Kush's ability to make reads. The learning curve is probably higher coming from a small school like he did. I do think he'll get his chance soon.

It all depends on what the coaches see in practice.

Hudson has played at center for three seasons now, and is probably locked in there -- that's not an easy position to move around, whereas a lineman can conceivably move between guard and tackle with comparatively minor adjustments.

I coaches think they have the talent they need at guard, then it's unnecessary to move Hudson. They clearly think that, for whatever reason. Allen has looked terrible but he still offers a lot of upside if the light goes on. Fulton, meanwhile, looks great.

Don't agree though with the "no targets" part though. I actually think we have a pretty talented but unproven group of young wrs.

Granted Jenkins and Avery didn't play, but I think our offensive roster this season, while unproven, is going to be really talented across the board.
