Dorsey hasn't been picked to visit any other teams yet. Apparently he's a hot commodity, yet no one wants him?

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and say he'll be KC's GM

Ask those questions for 3 hours if you want, he's not going to give you an answer and ultimately you're just going to look like a raging prick to the brand new head coach.

A competent journalist would recognize this as what it is.

This.

I hope it's Dorsey. I've read nothing but good things about the guy, and I think Reid would defer to him. I have no doubts about Reid's coaching ability, but I do have a little fear of his recent personnel moves.

My fear is that he is 'burnt out' and still needs to thoroughly grieve his son's death. I love the hire and will be rooting for him:clap:

Dorsey interviewed with the Chiefs yesterday per Lance Allan from NBC Milwaukee.

Burn the tires and light the fires.

Let's get him in here and let him get to work.

I think this would be such a bonus...going with the coach first/GM next approach I figured we'd get a no-name paper-pusher in here. Wow, Dorsey would be a great find.

Lance Allan @lanceallan

Per @NFL source, @packers John Dorsey interviewed with @kcChiefs yesterday. No official decision yet #Packers #KCChiefs #NFL

There's the tweet.

This offseason couldn't have gone better if this hire goes through.

Does the packers seaosn have to be over for DOrsey to sign with KC?

I don't think so. He's not the GM, and not a coach. I think they could come to an agreement ASAP.

the Talking Can 01-08-2013 10:41 AM

this guy could be every bit as important a hire as reid...

want

hmm, nice.

This guy has selected so many players I liked over the years, and has really helped load the Packers with talent.

I really liked Cobb as a skill player, and he has just exploded. I also loved Jordy Nelson coming out (homer pick), and he now has a super bowl touchdown on his resume.

The ONLY thing, if there is something, that concerns me, is that the Packers have not been able to get a legitimate RB. Its been a revolving door. Now, Benson had a nice thing going before the foot injury, but still. No talent/depth at that spot.

Luckily, we have a guy named Jamaal :)

Indeed, the Packer organization knows he interviewed. If he is interested, I'm sure they will say, "Great! Let them know and we'll clear your desk out for you." I'm not being sarcastic or implying a resentment from the Packer organization, but they need to keep moving forward on THEIR draft analysis, which they are probably somewhat protective of.

It will be the best thing for BOTH organizations for this to move forward as rapidly as possible.
