Veach just need to make sure he saves enough money to play for signing Tyreek, Hunt and Fuller long term when their times come. Cutting/ Restructing Houston a few years down the line won’t even pay for Mahomes. The future cap situation will be interesting if all these young guys ball out

Man... I personally said bad idea originally but if Veach sees something is left than I’ll be fine with it.

Biggest reason for optimism is he’s just 25.

Did Veach see something in Revis or was he desperate ? I think the latter and he was cheap.

The Revis deal didn’t work out, but it cost us absolutely nothing and was worth a shot given who we had at CB3 last year.

one thing that made me think that we may just land HB is that when asked about him Veach said they're exhausting all possibilites - even if it's only around a 1% chance it happens. He then went on to say - we MAY have already exhasted that w/ HB. I'm not sure how he worded it - but it seemed he was trying to detract attention from any true possiblity that KC gets him signed. JMO and observation - but a light went off in my head the first time I saw the presser video, last night.

I read that as “we made our offer - ball in his court”. Veach undoubtedly downplayed a potential match between HB and KC, but free agency is fluid and things change.

If they can squeeze him in, why not. We are clearly all in for this Mahomes rookie deal. It would also open the draft up to many possibilities after addressing DL and CB.

**** it man... Sat down and have been thinking about how he was my favorite player to watch when he was at LSU. Brings back memories and then I watched a AZ highlight vid. Not a lot of people in the NFL who has better instincts than him. He is a natural baller.

If there was one in the works, it'd be Houston, Fisher, or Berry, right? Not exactly a trio of players I'd want to invest even more years into, but whatever.

Plus he's 25 and led the NFL in defensive snaps played last season so I'm not sure the injuries is as big as a deal people are making them seem.
