What the balls is pewter anyway? I just googled it and it looks grey to me. I always assumed it was that fugly gold-ish brown they had before..

The chrome, according to uniform manufacturer Nike, will increase readability and add “a unique glow to the numbers.” Custom name and number fonts have edging inspired by historical Buccaneer blade carvings.

The white jersey has pewter sleeves and shoulders with red numbers, while the red jerseys will have pewter sleeves and shoulders with white numbers on the body and red numbers on the shoulders. The two-year redesign project met the goal of providing a “new, bolder identity,” says Bucs’ co-chairman Edward Glazer.

They look like they could be updated Cleveland Brown uniforms.

There are lots of pats on the back going on right now is what I hear. An Edgier uniform was what the goal was. This aren't your mom's buccaneers.

They aren't bad....I'm just not a fan of the numbers.

Well, if that's a 'deeper pewter', then I can't believe they got rid of the good-looking, 'shallower' (?) pewter for that deeper, brown-looking crap. Up until this, the Bucs had one of the best-looking uniforms in the league.

Maybe it will look better in the sunlight.

I just think it's ridiculous that they made the big transition from the gay pirate in 1997 and now they're already ****ing around with another new set of uniforms. That's just stupid. The old ones weren't outdated in the slightest. In fact, they were still some of the sharpest and sleekest uniforms in the NFL without being "classic".

Teams that can't keep a lousy uniform design for more than 20 years generally are never respected as iconic franchises, even if they've been around the league for a long time. The Chargers are some of the worst assholes at doing this.

Pick a ****ing uniform. Wear it. Own it. And shut the **** up.
