Right now I'm focusing my coding efforts on being able to simulate games so we can actually play some football. We will eventually have free agency periods. Should have some updates to the site regarding league structure and the year 1 schedule soon. Game planning to follow from there.

League 1 and 2 are organized by conference and division.

Schedules for the first season are posted.

Home and away games against your division: 6 games
Games against all teams in one rotating division from the other conference: 4 games
Interconference games against 3 of the 4 teams in each of the other divisions in your own conference. The team in the other divisions that you don't play will rotate every year.: 6 games

It would be nice if a few people would check there schedules to see if it matched the above specification.

Playoff format: Division winners plus two WC teams from each division will make the playoffs.
Week 1: the two WC teams battle it out
Week 2: 1st seed plays the WC winner and the 2nd and 3rd seed play each other
Week 3: conference championsips
Week 4: Sandbox Bowl


It will be a few weeks before we are ready to play games, but hopefully I'll have the game controls up soon so you can start game planning.

In the interest of getting the most fun from my programming hour, we are just going to run with the rosters we have, without worrying about trimming rosters to 53. I'll add some roster management features next year, as well as an in-season free agency draft that Rain Man came up with.

I just checked Duluth and the schedule looks fine.

The only issue, and it's not a big deal, is that in my intraconference games (games against 3 of the 4 teams in other divisions) my home games are all against one division (Wichita, Cedar Rapids, Overland Park) and my road games are all against the other division (Austin, Clearwater, Fort Worth). It doesn't really matter at all other than aesthetics, so I wouldn't bother fixing it, and it's also possible that my own team's schedule is an anomaly anyway.
