We're going to suck because we didn't trade Soria in his prime for the guy who's going to be the backup at 3rd, a middle reliever and a 3rd catcher. /CP

The dynamic pricing could be interesting this year. I purposely didn't renew my season tickets because I didn't want to get stuck watching Hoch and/or Chen for a bunch of games. I figured I'd buy tickets on the secondary market for the Shields/Santana games. It will be interesting to see if those games go up in price in addition to their typical premium games.

How does Dynamic pricing work? Does that mean you pay more for "marquee" opponents like the Yankees, Angels, etc....? NBA games are like that.

Pretty much. Yankees, Red Sox and Cardinals games were already $5 more per ticket but the pricing is going to get more complex then that. I know Cardinals and Cubs already have dynamic pricing and I am sure others do too.

It's pretty much any game that is in demand, not specific to just opponent. I could see promo giveaway games, James Shields games, etc.

In other news, MLB apparently has given the A's a set of guidelines to meet in order to be allowed to move to San Jose.

I think Buster Olney nailed the analysis on this one.

Giants own that territory so its no wonder they are making hard for the A's to move there. Personally I think Portland would be the ideal spot. Its a city that is between St. Louis and Kansas City size and only has one pro team. It would be the best IMO. The Giants would be become powerful money wise since they own the Bay Area then. A's would have better chance in their own market.

Much-maligned outfielder Jeff Francoeur doesn't blame Royals fans for their criticism of the James Shields / Wil Myers deal, Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star reports, even though Myers would likely have taken playing time away from Francoeur himself. “[W]hen we traded Wil — why the heck did we do that? — I sit there and say, ‘As a fan, looking from the outside, I’d lead that criticism.’ For fans, looking from the outside, I don’t blame them," Francoeur says. “I had a terrible year." Francoeur hit .235/.287/.378 in 2012 as the Royals' starter in right field. Here are more notes from throughout the AL Central.

Sooooooo the Myers/Odorizzi deal would be halfway to fail town then, right?

Prison Bitch 02-24-2013 03:46 PM

Well, I would guess BP probably didn't think much of Baltimore or Oakland last year and they got in. The Royals will never have an equal chance to other teams based on economics so they have to take a shot here and there when they get a decent look. It's possible the Shields trade will fail but there's certainly no assurance keeping Myers would've resulted in the playoffs either. Now or in the future.

I talked with the guy behind me for about 5-10 minutes. We discussed what a piece of shit Frenchy is, me first saying how he was the worst outfielder in MLB. The guy behind me saying, let's not stop out outfield, how about all MLB!?

We also talked about how dumb it would be for the Chiefs to take an OL with the first pick and we both agreed to being on the Geno bandwagon.

He was at the game but had to leave early to catch a flight back to KC where he said he has lived all his life. Which one of your queers was behind me!?
