Of course, to each his own.:thumb:

IMO Batman Begins was great if only for the fact that the material, any comic book material, was FINALLY taken seriously, right out of the pages of some of the really dark comic series that came along in the late 80's & early 90's.

You're so right, Ledger was beyond brilliant. He owns that role in many of the the same ways that Brandon Lee owned the Crow.

I thought Batman Begins was the best comic book/superhero movie ever made... until The Dark Knight.

I can't imagine TDKR will be "better." I'm just hoping its different enough to warrant its own existence and that it's satisfying. It doesn't have to be a better film than the other two, but it does have to feel like the right film to end Nolan's trilogy. Whatever that means.

I don't think Nolan has ever failed in his entire life. That man is money.

This is official, but I smell a smokescreen:

MARION COTILLARD AND JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT CAST IN CHRISTOPHER NOLAN’S “THE DARK KNIGHT RISES”

BURBANK, CA, April 19, 2011 – Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard (“La Vie en Rose”) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have joined the cast of “The Dark Knight Rises,” the epic conclusion to the Dark Knight legend.

Cotillard will appear as Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham. Gordon-Levitt will play John Blake, a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon.

The film reunites the actors with Christopher Nolan, who recently directed them in the award-winning blockbuster “Inception.”

The director stated, “When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience. I immediately thought of them for the roles of Miranda and Blake, and I am looking forward to working with both of them again.”

Heading the cast of “The Dark Knight Rises,” Christian Bale stars as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The main cast also includes Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle and Tom Hardy as Bane.

Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan, from a story by Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer. Christopher Nolan will also produce the film with his longtime producing partner, Emma Thomas, and Charles Roven.

“The Dark Knight Rises” is slated for release on July 20, 2012. The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

I would of agreed with this, until Inception. Just didn't like it. The whole plot was screwy and ridiculous. A very quotable movie though. By far his best movie though is Memento, the Batman movies included.

I can't watch videos at work. So I have no idea what the content of these is, but I saw them posted on another board so I thought I'd share.

Interesting?

The viral videos are kind of cool. Can't tell what is being chanted. I also can't tell if it is for Batman 3 or for the game Arkham City.

Red Brooklyn 06-01-2011 01:16 PM

The other website I got them from said the videos came from the official youtube account/page (whatever) for The Dark Knight Rises. So, the OP seems to think they're definitely for the film, not the game.

I have no idea.

Also, someone said they thought the chanting sounded like it was backwords. I know the Bane photo was revealed by decoding a backwords message. So, maybe he's on to something.

I just listened to the chanting in Outbreak backwords, and didn't hear anything.
