I could do Clemons/Shaugnessy Barber/Woodson...old corner for old corner

I'll start bringing up the teams I was drafting for, starting with my own long-term team, the Duluth Pillagers. Here's our depth chart going into camp, with comments.
Duluth Pillagers - League 1 Rashard Mendenhall HB Tim Hightower HB Leon Washington HB Maurice Morris HB I like my halfbacks. I've got a good all-purpose first-stringer, a hard-running halfback, a quick third-down back, and an all-around backup. Jerome Felton FB Spencer Larsen FB Two starting fullbacks. Don't know a whole lot more, but I think they're fine. Philip Rivers QB Ryan Fitzpatrick QB Bruce Gradkowski QB Big fan of my quarterbacks. I'm comfortable with my backup situation. Hakeem Nicks WR DeSean Jackson WR Eddie Royal WR Randall Cobb WR Derrick Williams WR Harry Douglas WR Jeremy Horne WR My starting guys are all small and shifty for the most part. I think Hicks and Jackson will complement each other, and Royal is a decent third receiver. I'm hoping Cobb can be my secret weapon and return man, while I've got some good all-around backups. Greg Olsen TE Robert Housler TE Lacking in depth here, and waited a little too long at this position. Olsen is serviceable, and hopefully the rookie Housler will come on as my backup. Jordan Gross LT Alex Boone LT Good starter, not much depth at all. Vince Manuwai G Jon Asamoah G Stephen Peterman G Kory Lichtensteiger G Jason Pinkston G No big-name stars, but I like them. Got some strong guards and some youth, and tons of depth with quality starters. Ryan Kalil C Kyle Cook C I'm happy here. Kalil is a good young center and Cook is a fine backup. Jeremy Trueblood RT Ryan Harris RT Lydon Murtha RT Okay, this was a weird one. I drafted Harris and he got hurt. So Trueblood will come in as a starter. I drafted Murtha as a LT/RT backup, and he's out for the year. I drafted Pinkston as a rookie and he's now a starting guard. I hope Trueblood is durable. Nick Folk K Fine with this. Brian Moorman P Fine with this. Jim Leonhard FS Chris Prosinski FS Leonhard is very underrated as a safety. I like the value here, and hopefully Prosinski will develop in his rookie year. Bob Sanders SS Reggie Smith SS A little scary, I admit. Sanders will be good for as long as he lasts, and Smith is currently out for the short term with a minor knee injury. I could've used some more depth here. Corey Webster CB Rashean Mathis CB Andre' Goodman CB Javier Arenas CB No stars, and I'm probably one guy short, but I like this group. Webster is young and ascending, Mathis is a pro bowl caliber guy, and Goodman is a veteran nickel with a good young dime back in Arenas. I can't afford any injuries, though. Shaun Phillips OLB Pat Angerer OLB Kavell Conner OLB Bruce Carter OLB An interesting group. Phillips is a star, of course, and brings a pass rush. My hope is that my rookie Bruce Carter will be another star, but he's out rehabbing a knee right now. Angerer and Conner are stopgaps, but they're young and rising. DeMeco Ryans MLB Jameel McClain MLB I wanted an MLB who's a run stopper, and Ryans is my guy...if he's healthy. If not, McClain will get inserted, and a Ravens linebacker is never a bad thing. Elvis Dumervil DE Chris Kelsay DE Da'Quan Bowers DE Eric Moore DE Darryl Tapp DE Dave Tollefson DE Another interesting position. Dumervil is my pass-rushing end, and Kelsay is a solid DE on the other side. I'm hoping that Bowers will unseat Kelsay by the time we break camp, but we'll see. Kevin Williams DT Kyle Williams DT Corey Williams DT Peria Jerry DT Terrell McClain DT The Williams Wall with a spare. I invested early in two pro bowl DT's, with the goal of committing them and my MLB against the run while focusing my ends and OLBs on the pass rush. I like my DTs. |
This team was abandoned early, so they missed a bunch of mid-round picks. It's going to hurt them for a while, but I think they'll still be competitive.
Round Rock Tambatornados - League 2 Michael Turner HB Matt Forte HB Stevan Ridley HB Maurice Morris HB Kevin Smith HB I accidentally spent two high picks on halfbacks, so Forte can be on the trading block. Good depth here, and hoping to take advantage of my quick rookie Ridley on third downs. Tony Fiammetta FB Madison Hedgecock FB Hedgecock got cut, so I picked up Fiammetta, who had been cut but was picked up by the Cowboys three days ago. Not an area of particular strength. Tony Romo QB Kerry Collins QB Tyler Thigpen QB I'm pretty comfortable with this group. Solid starter, greybeard backup, young developmental guy who can run. Steve Johnson WR Donald Driver WR Brandon LaFell WR Mohamed Massaquoi WR Armanti Edwards WR Titus Young WR The lost draft picks hurt me here. I think Johnson and Driver are a reasonable starting pair, and LaFell has risen to be my third guy. Jeremy Shockey TE Dave Thomas TE Tony Moeaki TE Egad. Losing Moeaki for the year hurts. Shockey will have to get it done for us. Rodger Saffold LT Jamon Meredith LT I think Meredith got cut, so Saffold is my guy. I'm good here as long as he's healthy. Brandon Moore G Chris Williams G Chris Chester G William Rackley G Good starters and Chester is good depth. Rackley is a promising rookie. Eugene Amano C Stefen Wisniewski C Amano is starting, and hopefully the rookie will catch him by training camp's end. Erik Pears RT Vernon Carey RT Pears is my starter, and Carey is my backup even though he's been moved to guard. Could be better here. Phil Dawson K Fine here. Reggie Hodges P Who? Er, I mean, we're fine. Jairus Byrd FS Madieu Williams FS Couple of good free safeties. I'm happy here. Melvin Bullitt SS Steve Gregory SS I think Bullitt will do well, though he's a bit of a risk as a first-time starter. Marcus Trufant CB Sheldon Brown CB Kareem Jackson CB D.J. Moore CB Demarcus Van Dyke CB Brandon Hogan CB No stars, but three guys who I think are solid. Then it's a little more unproven. Shaun Phillips OLB Ernie Sims OLB Andre Carter OLB Danny Clark OLB Meh. Phillips is good at one spot. Sims and Carter may alternate at the other. I'd like to upgrade that spot. Dhani Jones MLB Stephen Tulloch MLB Not spectacular, but Jones will get the job done. Ray Edwards DE Chris Kelsay DE Raheem Brock DE Austen Lane DE Stephen Bowen DE Edwards is good, and Kelsay is solid. Brock's a good backup. Not a bunch of all-stars, but they're okay. B.J. Raji DT Kyle Williams DT Pat Sims DT Nick Hayden DT Marvin Austin DT Got a couple of big-time tackles, so I'm in good shape. Sims is okay as the third guy. Hayden got cut and Austen is out for the year. Not as much depth as I'd like. A 3-4 team could make me an offer for Raji, but I'd need something really good in return. |
Decent-to-good games for my starters so far:
Roddy White - 8 catches, 61 yards Santonio Holmes - 6 catches, 70 yards Kenny Britt - 5 catches, 136 yards, 2 TD Kellen Winslow - 6 catches, 66 yards Julius Peppers - 3 tackles, 2 sacks, FF Antonio Garay - 4 tackles, 1 sack Charles Johnson - 4 tackles, 1 sack EJ Henderson - 9 tackles, 1 sack D'Qwell Jackson - 11 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 FF Quintin Mikell - 4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 FF Dwight Lowery - 1 tackle, 1 PD, 1 INT |
Britt is a risky but good pick for you right now. Congrats.

League 1 - Clearwater Donkeys
This team got abandoned in the middle rounds and lost some ground, but not too much. However, my drafting apparently wasn't very good for them. We have extra depth at WR, TE, C, RT, SS, and OLB to trade, and need to pick up a LT, G, 3-4 DE, and maybe some depth at FS and ILB. Anyone interested in a trade? Maurice Jones-Drew HB Brian Westbrook HB Jason Snelling HB Kregg Lumpkin HB Good halfbacks. Got a workhorse, a third-down back, and a thumper, with depth. Le'Ron McClain FB Greg Jones FB Leonard Weaver FB Fine on the fullbacks, though my top two are nicked up. Weaver was a pro bowler before a knee injury and is good at running, catching, and blocking if needed. Aaron Rodgers QB Chad Henne QB Troy Smith QB Pretty good shape here. Yeah, pretty good shape. Dez Bryant WR Percy Harvin WR Jason Hill WR David Reed WR Kassim Osgood WR Leonard Hankerson WR Odd group. Bryant and Harvin are good starters, and Jason Hill is a starter now for Jacksonville and is a good third guy. The others are all depth who can help me out. No big stars at the moment, but good long-term positioning. Heath Miller TE Jeremy Shockey TE Joel Dreessen TE Brandon Manumaleuna TE Lots of depth, and Heath Miller is fine. Let's go with it. James Brewer LT Tyler Polumbus LT Lee Ziemba LT Yeah, this is a problem. Got a rookie starter who isn't even starting in the NFL. Problem area. Travelle Wharton G Deuce Lutui G Jason Spitz G Reggie Wells G Another problem area. Only one NFL starter. Jeff Saturday C John Sullivan C Good shape here, both short term and long term. Gosder Cherilus RT Khalif Barnes RT Good shape here, both short term and long term. Matt Prater K Probably fine. Mike Scifres P Good shape here. Earl Thomas FS No depth at all, but otherwise fine. Amari Spievey SS Deon Grant SS Bernard Pollard SS Doing fine here. Not a star, but Spievey is a starter. Marcus Trufant CB Kareem Jackson CB Demarcus Van Dyke CB Shawntae Spencer CB Doing good here. Solid starters and depth. Could use a dime back. Tamba Hali OLB Joey Porter OLB Bryan Kehl OLB Brooks Reed OLB This is a strong group, especially for a 3-4 defense. Rocky McIntosh ILB Greg Jones ILB Dhani Jones MLB I like this group. McIntosh is underrated, and Jones is starting for the Giants as a rookie. Dhani's been cut, so I have no depth. Kenyon Coleman DE Cameron Jordan DE Austen Lane DE Juqua Parker DE Mark Anderson DE Okay, I have a problem here. I was drafting best available, and I've got some 4-3 ends in a 3-4 defense. Anyone want to trade me a 3-4 end for any of my backups? Coleman is a solid starter and Jordan isn't starting yet, so I've got a problem here. Sione Pouha NT Remi Ayodele DT Ma'ake Kemoeatu NT Lamar Divens DT Well, my last two guys got cut. Pouha's a good starter for the Jets, and Ayodele is a starter, but in a 4-3 defense. He's got the size to back up at NT, though, so I'm fine. |

League 2 - Anchorage Eskimos
This team could use some help. We need a FB, OLB, and DT badly, and could use a backup free safety. We can upgrade at several positions. As trade bait we have a great rookie 3-4 end in Wilkerson and another starting end from our top three. We also have depth at all offensive line positions that we can trade. Another option would be for us to go 3-4, in which case we can trade Robert Mathis and Jabaal Sheard (good rookie starter) to get an OLB, another 3-4 DE, and maybe backups at ILB and NT. Anyone interested? LeSean McCoy HB Jason Snelling HB Isaac Redman HB Mikel Leshoure HB Fine at halfback with a good starter and a thumper and a backup. Leshoure is out for the year. Lousaka Polite FB Reagan Mauia FB Okay, this isn't good. Both of these guys got cut. Guess I'll be using a scrub. Colt McCoy QB Jason Campbell QB Greg McElroy QB Anchorage didn't draft a QB early, so we're going west coast with McCoy or downfield with Campbell. This will be an interesting training camp battle. Hines Ward WR Devin Hester WR Jacoby Ford WR Andre Roberts WR Vincent Brown WR Terrell Owens WR Okay at this position with our legitimate starters. However, Ford has a hamstring problem now. Vernon Davis TE Zach Miller TE John Carlson TE Carlson's out for the year, but we have two good starters. Russell Okung LT Charlie Johnson LT Two good starters. Happy. Chris Snee G Jacob Bell G Jason Spitz G Daniel Loper G Two good starters in Snee and Bell. Dominic Raiola C Chris Spencer C Got a solid starter and solid backup. David Stewart RT Todd Herremans RT Jordan Black RT Two solid starters here. Happy. Jay Feely K Garrett Hartley K Drafted Hartley and then he got hurt, so we picked up Feely. Matt Turk P Doin' fine. Nick Collins FS Great starter, no depth. Charles Godfrey SS Craig Dahl SS Got two starters here, so we're happy. Mike Jenkins CB A.J. Jefferson CB Leigh Bodden CB Shawntae Spencer CB Benny Sapp CB Depth is scary. We have two legit starters, but it goes downhill quickly. I'd like a strong starter so I could move Jefferson to nickel. Jarret Johnson OLB Na'il Diggs OLB Bruce Carter OLB Major trouble here. Carter's rehabbing a knee and Diggs is a backup. Johnson is serviceable but not a star. Ray Lewis MLB Titus Brown MLB Nate Irving ILB Lewis and Brown are both starting caliber, though I think Brown may be hurt. Robert Mathis DE Israel Idonije DE Jabaal Sheard DE Muhammad Wilkerson DE Stylez G. White DE Okay, here's a position of strength. We have four starting caliber defensive ends right now, and good youth. Vince Wilfork NT Leger Douzable DT C.J. Mosley DT Matt Toeaina DT Tony Brown DT Junior Siavii DT Yeah, this isn't great. Wilfork is a monster, but our next three guys are second-stringers and then it goes downhill from there. I thought Brown was going to be a starter and then he got cut of all things. |
