Acts Of God (weather) are far different than a pre-planned move because of murder.

You're either not aware of all of the ramifications or you're not thinking this through to its conclusion.

No it wasn't, moron.

(cue Dane telling us that it wasn't what he actually meant and that I have it all wrong).

First, we were told that games weren't moved. Then, it was only because of weather. Then, it was to a Tuesday. Now...what?

No, it doesn't matter what I think. It's what would happen. The Vikings game that was moved to Tuesday was a late season game in Philly due to the blizzard. The game right after the roof collapsed was moved to a Monday, and aired on FOX in the local markets at the same time MNF was going on.

And be in direct competition with the Fiesta Bowl?

Sure. It is not like anyone would watch the game except die hard NFL fans.

Moot point anyway

Not really.

:p

HMc 12-01-2012 11:47 PM

but but what about ESPN's contract?? I thought games couldn't be moved to Monday because dane says so and he knows so much about all this business stuff! we're so lucky to have such a business expert around!

Shame his memory is so shit and that he's only ever right about things after-the-fact.

As foolish as I know this will be, substitute "pro" with "college" in the following statement and feel whether or not the situation would be the same: A pro football player committed suicide in front of pro team officials, on pro team training facility the day before a pro game.
