The Wood in this tweet is Travis Wood. He was a reliever last year but Rosenthal is saying multiple teams are offering him a chance to be a starter again. I'd imagine the Royals are one of them.

Reading the 2012 BA prospect handbook, the Royals were #3 system. (1. Monty, 2. Bubba 3. Myers 4. Odorizzi 5. Cuthbert )
http://www.baseballamerica.com/today...2/2612809.html This was after we had their best system ever in 30 years of rankings, 9 top 100 prospects. We graduated Moose, Hosmer, Salvy among others) What's interesting is where CLEVE was: #29. Ahead of only the Sux, who've produced very little the past 5 years. Not sure how they got so good, Lindor #1 is a star but I didn't recognize many other names. They've done a great job acquiring arms like Kluber and Carrasco (and now Andy Miller). I don't know how they got the rest of their lineup z http://www.baseballamerica.com/today...2/2612805.html |
