Too bad it'll never happen.

Finally read the first two books in the Thrawn series. I really dislike C'baoth. Does he do something cool in the third book. Otherwise, he's just kind of weak and weird.

This. But, there's a twist.

The twist is that those books are just *bad*

Not gonna happen.

The story is completely original. And the word is that Harrison Ford is wavering on his return.

True.

Those books are nowhere near as good as the later stuff by authors like Karpyshyn and Stover.

Thanks for confirmation. I've been reading them because I'm playing a SW RPG and wanted to learn more about the world. Those books were weak and I stopped with third one. What is some good SW reading? I'd like to read more about the "fringe" (bounty hunters, smugglers, etc...)

I really liked the Thrawn series. There is a prequel book called Outbound Flight that is an origin story of sorts for the trilogy.

I thought the Han Solo trilogy was very good. It covered his past right up until New Hope. So you get to experience the Kessel run, his dealings with Jabba, etc.

Personally I really enjoyed the Republic Commando novels. They cover an elite group of clones during the clone wars leading up to Order 66. There was one book written after that called the 501st that covered clones that were drafted into Vader's personal battalion after the jedi purge. Unfortunately, the author got into a pissing match with the publishers and the series is now on hold.

After you read those 3....read 'Outbound Flight', and then you'll get the full picture

Return of the Sith and Rise of the Jedi are the titles being considered.

Rise of the Jedi
makes more sense considering Episode 6 was Return of the Jedi.

It seems silly to have Return of the Jedi and Return of the Sith as consecutive film titles.
