Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus attendance generously listed at 48k which is lower than KU-Minny in 2008 Insight Bowl. 48k with capacity of 70k for the big matchup, half of te fans there were estimated to me Gophers.

So.....had they not come out would that stadium have been totally empty or what?

If I'm reading this right, it would mean that half of what was there.

We can all agree on this: It's not true that Mizzou fans were all down in Orlando. Unless they were dressed as empty seats or Gopher fans

It was about 60/40 Gophers fans. Of course, they were all more than happy to leave Minnesota in January for Orlando, and they haven't played in a New Year's Day bowl game since 1968.

Prison Bitch 01-02-2015 05:06 PM

KC Star: First Citrus crowd under 50,000 since 1979. And that's with the huge Minny turnout. Congrats Mizzou fans.

Eh. Mizzou fans can go to a bowl game most any year. It's not a school where it only happens 12 times in > 100 years.

Also becoming a bowl game tradition:

Mizzou makes January bowl appearance, No bowl game PERIOD for Kansas fan. Kansas fan talks lame bowl game attendance smack, all the while own fanbase ranks near bottom of Big 12 in home football attendance. Kansas fan accuses Missouri fan of not 'traveling' well, while Kansas fan fails to walk a half mile from on campus dorm to football stands to attend games.

Holding out hope for some day.

Sick of not watching the hawks play in a bowl game. There are a billion bowls each year. How hard can it actually be to win 6 games and go bowling? Yet KU finds new ways to suck each year. Pisses me off to no end.

It's a good question to ask: how many Mizzouches were at their bowl game? The announced was 48,000 (a 35 year low) and the Minnesota press estimates 22,000 were Gophershttp://www.inforum.com/sports/364588...itrus-bowl-win.

You know you're REALLY grasping at straws when bowl game attendance smack is what you reach for.

One thing I can tell you for sure: the bowl game attendance for Mizzou fans, Minnesota fans, Nebraska fans and Kansas State fans were each quite a bit better than the attendance of Kansas fans at their bowl game this year.

It's better than that. He's not just posting attendance shit talk...he's literally doing research into it. How worthless is your time when you use a weekend to research historic Citrus Bowl attendance data in order to shit talk fans of a team that just won yet another bowl game?

Mizzou, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee all won their bowls. SEC East goes a perfect 5-0.

The reason MU didn't have many fans at Sprint Center is because your team isnt very good. The reason MU didn't have many fans in Orlando is because the bowl game isn't very good.

Feel free to dispute either statement.

Yes, of course, back to basketball. Shocking.

Yes, the Mizzou basketball team sucks right now and Kimmie was a terrible hire, don't see too many people disputing that.

It's just inifinitely funny that all you and Bambi have to go to right now is bowl game attendance smack after Mizzou won and the SEC East went 5-0 in bowls.

But, hey, if it makes you both feel better about your football program, then by all means, carry on. Wouldn't want to take that away from you kids.

Your fans didn't go to the Citrus Bowl because they know its not an important game. It wasn't worth their time - regardless how you beat your chest about it. The essence of being a Mizzou fan is clinging to trivial "accomplishments".

And that is our point.

You sure care a lot about Mizzou, I mean its at obsession level...really creepy. You need to find some hobbies, or something that makes you happy in life. Seriously.

Yeah. But we sent like 237 computers to the game, so we've got that going for us!
