Real Texas smoked sausage is a whole lot better than the Johnsonville/Hillshire Farm crap you can get nationwide.

Barbecue bologna should be an offense worthy of the death penalty.

BBQ bologna, when done right, is ****ing glorious.

Next time in Memphis, try it at BBQ Shop or Central. I never leave Memphis without getting one (sometimes more for the road).

Now I want to get some mortadella and trying to BBQ that.

The worst I've had in a long time was at Three Little Pigs in Crown Center. We had taken the kids to Legoland, and they were at the point of being "hangry". They both love BBQ, and it was a quick and available option. The short line should have been a clue...

It was absolute garbage.

I smoked a hunk of bologna last year on my PBC. Turned out really good.

I am thinking the chunks of fat will absorb the smoke flavor pretty well. The only question is if I want pistachios too.

It might have been just a rumor they were closing. Looks like their listing is current with Yelp- but with pretty bad reviews.

The whole River Market was hot for awhile, then started to fade again. I like that area, but it looks a little deserted at times. Love the Steamboat museum and all the trails around there. Hopefully, all those new apartment complexes on the west side will prop it up again.

No idea when you could have been to the river market area and it be dead.

Every time I've rolled through its been packed

Gates is mediocre as ****. As disappointing a place that exists.

KC BBQ in San Diego.

Beatiful location in the heart of San Diego just 5 minutes from the bay.

Chiefs themed bar with tons of great Chiefs memorabilia, and a Chiefs specific viewing room.

Worst BBQ i've ever had in my life. The sauce runs like water and the ribs are boiled....not just boiled...over boiled, bland and watery.

Both of these scenes filmed there:

Based on my experience - Gates would be the second-best BBQ restaurant on the West Coast. Still my favorite sauce, and fries - but I agree the brisket is pretty inconsistent the last few times I've been.

Famous Dave's sucks....and is still way better than Dickey's.

I've never ordered Brisket from a restaurant. I've had it at a Christmas dinner for work is it pretty good?
