How much you wanna bet Denver signs him to an offer sheet and tries to pair Von Miller and Justin Houston?

If denver wants to pay him like jj watt, let them.

Houston is far more valuable.

You build offenses around franchise quarterbacks and you build defenses around elite pass rushers.

Sure. But at the same time, there's still a team that desperately needs a WR over a pass rusher, but they still won't sign Dez or Demaryius.

That means the sides talked about a deal. They were just far apart, that's all.

Yeah I know that, but there was no urgency on the part of Houston to sign a long term deal knowing that he could most assuredly get a better deal this year.

THEN WHY THE **** DID WE DRAFT A B/U PASS RUSHER IN THE BEST YEAR EVER TO DRAFT A WR?...

He's the only one with leverage here...

Because Hali has hit the wall and is only a part time player going forward.

No. He's not.

We can tag him twice for less that 30m total

So they're going to sign Hali to do what? Back up Von Miller? Back up DeMarcus Ware?

philfree 03-02-2015 11:18 AM

What are the exact rules under the new CBA regarding the F-Tag? I thought they made it where guys couldn't really hold out of the season if they were tagged. If they sign it it's guaranteed isn't it? Houston will be there for season because who's going to give a single week of about a $1mil game check?

It's a Neil Smith/Traylor joke.

He won't get tagged twice.

It won't happen.

He would and should demand a trade if we ****ed him that way...

Tag him next year and you lose Poe

From what I understand..Houston wants a shit-ton of cash. KC gave this type of tag to see what the real market value is for him. No team with that amount of available money is picking at the bottom...or is stupid enough to give up the picks + the contract. Two top 10 selections for Houston wouldn't be a bad haul for a 3rd round pick....
