The Steelers game Cassel won was one of his "famous three wins where he actually threw the ball"

All it took were injuries to Polamalu and Big Ben in OT too! How bout the Rivers fumble game? Was that one of them too?

They don't have to.

If he gets hurt again, I don't think we will ever see him in a Chiefs uni again.

I think we are going to see an improved Cassel. How much I don't dare speculate but with Haley gone and working with an OC he knows could help him a lot. I'm not making excuses for him but few QB's in the league could succeed with 4 different OC's in as many years.

The intangible there is Haley obviously couldn't get along with OC's and was constantly poking his nose into the offense and obviously creating a stressful situation. Whether that was directed at Cassel or not, and it probably was directed at coaches, players still feel that tension and it carries over.

I've been doing what I do for a living for almost 20 years and it is still hard to succeed when your bosses keep changing their minds every other day on what they want and how they want things done.

Can't say that. Granted Orton looked a lot better. Orton also was Haley-free. I am curious to see Cassel without Haley. Not holding a lot of high hopes but curious nonetheless.

I'm going to.

Orton threw for 300 yards with a team he barely knew. And on his 4th or 5th OC in 4 years. And the Pack was a winning team. Cassel fails at nearly all of those categories.

This is hilarious. We are imagining a hypothetical situation where Matt Cassel wins a game scoring 9 points. I thought Royals fans were delusional.

No. I assume that those 4 picks by Palko would equal them not being in excellent field position. Keep trying to talk your way out of what you said, it's fun to watch.

I think that's just Orton's experience. I won't argue, and I already said Orton looked much better than Cassel and I personally wish we would have kept him as the starter.

And even at that, Andy Studebaker was needed.

I forgot you're one of those 9-11 guys in DC. File this under your conspiracy bullshit that Cassel plays a game against a great defense and doesn't turn the ball over once.

BossChief 04-17-2012 07:50 PM

Moeaki
Berry
Boss
Winston
Charles
Hillis
A full year of Romeo knowing how to use Houston
All the draft picks and vet signings after the draft....

Add all that to a 7 game winner last year and this team should probably win 10 games next year unless Cassel doesn't step up and doesn't lose his job the while year.

Cassel is a 4 year starter. He has experience.

He played dick before those 4 years. I don't think Cassel can just step in and play, although he did in NE. I think Orton has that edge in spades.

There is not reason, barring another injury filled year, that the Chiefs shouldn't win 10 this year.

However, we have seen what our QB can do.

At what point do we take off his training wheels?
