So, what's the point of this again? I'm on it, but none of the people with whom I'm friends on both Facebook and Google+ are using Google. We still use FB.

In many ways, Plus is closer to Twitter than Facebook. I don't know that their goal was necessarily to replace either so much as offer something that is a mix of both with a few extras.

Freaking geeks are slitting their own throats.

Google wants to have a cloud and nothing in-between the cloud and users. No it admins,no support etc.

Google is just as bad as Microsoft with it's "we are the big dogs, do what we say" business practices.

Google is the greatest search engine ever invented but it's business these days is not good business for IT techs.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but your post seems a bit random. Is there something in particular about Google Plus (or the article you quoted) that you're responding to?

On growth of google+, how many people have ya'll invited after being invited in? I did my part in the pyramid scheme by inviting three with only one not accepting it (cuz he's a little slow)

I wasn't really interested in the article or even Google+.

Google+ is a part of their idea for ridding departments of I.T. staff. Centralizing everyone under a greater Google umbrella who would control access, updates and become a threat of a monopoly.

Techs need to wake up and realize Google under schmidt is not your friend, Microsoft was interested in a building a monopoly. Goggle wants that and to rid businesses of an I.T. department. Google views you as an enemy of their business plan. If they can get company techs out of the picture Google's business plan can take off. I've seen what they are presenting to business's. They are not palying around. Techs need to educate themselfs. If Google wins, techs lose.
