Slightly different topic, but this made me think about the Chiefs-Dolphins game that got disrupted by the hurricane several years back. I can't remember exactly what happened, but didn't they move the time and location of that game? Or was it just one or the other? I just remember being annoyed that the change prevented me from being able to watch it.

The stuff I've seen blamed it on heavy rain and a recent concert. I'm not quite sure how a concert would cause that much damage, but maybe I'm missing something. And rain shouldn't cause irreparable damage.

The field seems like something you'd know about weeks ahead of time, and you'd be taking steps to address it. Someone from the NFL really dropped the ball on this.

You can't tell me they can't throw money at the field - sent field experts down to Mexico City to have it serviceable by game time. The NFL caved to public pressure. They are FRIGHTENED by it.

I get it. If someone would have got injured - even if the field was fine - the media circus and bad PR would be a nightmare.

What I don't get is not having this figured out waaay before now.
