Hanging with you SO should never be looked upon as a chore. You hang together and be together because it is suppose to be joyful.
Granted there are instances where you would rather not do something that your SO has in mind. Usually there is a compromise that can be made, or sometimes it is so important to the other that you just suck it up and make the best of it.

It wasn't so much missing the game as it was my hatred for the friend and her husband who was hosting the BBQ...
