If the league doesn't suspend Talib for admitting to what he did, the rest of the league needs to understand that you establish a healthy fear in the other team EARLY in the game so they have it in their mind the rest of the game.

So Talib made a calculated decision and was right. They'd not see it for what it was, they'd not toss him because it's the SB, and all it cost the Donks was one yard - the Panthers were going in no matter if it was 1 yard or two. And what that one yard bought him was a certain level of fear for the rest of the game.

The NFL has a choice to make and I suspect they'll blow it off with maybe a fine and then make it go away. We can only hope the Chiefs take notes this time and take what the NFL is giving.

have you heard the man speak? He's lucky to read and comprehend the instructions for ass-gaskets.

I think "calculated" and Talib have never been in the same ballpark.

Was it cheap? Yep.

Does it make it even worse now that he's admitting he did it knowing there would only be a yard and a half penalty? Yep.

Should they look at changing the rules for plays like this one and the hit on Fleming a few weeks ago? Yep.

But he wasn't, and shouldn't have been ejected yesterday.

He's a scumbag, though.

He intentionally grabbed a player with both hands by the facemask, twisted his entire body around by his neck, and threw him out of bounds like a rag doll. He absolutely should have been ejected for that, Super Bowl or not. He could have easily broken a neck or caused other serious damage, and he did it intentionally, knowing that it would only be a 1.5-yard penalty.

LOL, you're pretty funny. If you're not, you're new to sports.

You think that is acceptable?

They aren't ejecting talib in the super bowl.

Different time and social climate. Not excusing what DT did or lessening it but looking at this from the NFL social perspective.

There are a lot of viewers that only watch one game a year, the Super Bowl. If you want to show the "court of public opinion" that you are serious about the violence, this would have sent the strongest message that you can send.

Actually, I suppose they did, didn't they? Just not the one that the PR guys would have liked.

And a written apology. Lamar called the actions of the defense an embarrassment to the club and community.

Anyone thinking that the Chiefs are going to play like this to win better not hold their breath.

Von Miller was the only Bronco to have more of an effect on the game.

Your pussy thug beakers did nothing the entire game.

Correct. I said that. They won't and they didn't.

This is pretty damned close to the truth, IMHO.

Really? I think he might get to sit for a couple of early season games.

And people wonder why Lamar was so respected...

displacedinMN 02-08-2016 09:09 PM

his comments make me think:

There are smart football players-Manning is a smart football player. He has an answer for almost any defense

There are players that are so dumb, they can only play football-Aqib Talib is that kind of player. He will be broke 3 years after he is done, living in a van down by the river.

Sure... Let's not forget, many thought Brady would sit too.

And if they NFL mans-up, good. It'll be a rare event if they do. Plus, Talib will be the one who makes sure he's making news at a vacation destination, prolly ****ing an owner's college daughter, just to piss them off.

BucEyedPea 02-08-2016 09:13 PM

I seem to recall some chief fans calling for some players to be intentionally injured...even to the point of ruining a career. I hope they're not the same ones judging Talib.
