Wait... I'll admit I'm not as deep into the Star Wars universe these days, but why does Luke have a son? Did he decide it was more important to have Jedi progeny than master the Jedi virtue of non-attachment?

I'm fine with Disney owning Star Wars. I do question the decision to let Jar Jar Abrams lead the 'chise.

The whole reason Luke ever succeeded was because he had attachments.

"omg that hot girl gotta go rescue her"

"but han and leia will die if I don't go"

"there is still good in him"

YODA, YOU DUMB

Alex Pettyfer was so bad in Magic Mike they had to restructure the film to make him a much smaller part. Sounds like the guy I want leading the new Star Wars saga.

Eh, it was a bad movie all the way around. I can't believe Soderbergh directed it and I really can't believe he cast that wooden, POS "actress" in Cody Horn.

That had to be a favor to her father. A mannikin would have been a better choice.

Can you imagine him and George Martin working on the same project?

Weren't they on the design team for Duke Nukem Forever?

J.J. Abrams Building ‘Star Wars’ Production Spaces In L.A.

Director J.J. Abrams is a family just like myself and over the last few months I had heard that he was not happy about moving to London to film “Star Wars: Episode VII.” I don’t blame him because it’s an inconvenience to the wife and kids. But it seems he will be able to work close to home after all.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Abrams is reportedly converting a portion of his Bad Robot headquarters into production spaces built specifically for “Star Wars: Episode VII”.

A green room, sound studios and other new facilities will be developed within the three-story, 18,000-square-foot Santa Monica building.

This would also already include the editing bays, a workshop for making props, a screening room that can double as a set and personal office suites currently in place.

Filming is slated to begin mid-January at London’s Pinewood Studios.

Also I’ve been told that the Millennium Falcon has been built…Here is what my source just told me after reading what the trade had to say.

All of post-production and re-shoots are to work around Abrams and Actors schedules. 90% of shooting in London. Also they are building the Millennium Falcon on at Pinewood. Interior is done.
