A part of me hopes that if she is in, they filmed it a year ago, so there won't be any kind of "omg, Michelle Fairley was just seen shooting" bullshit to give it away.

Yeah I think they were just highlighting a bad (dead) guy.

You guys may be right, but in watching it again, he's not riding an elk like coldhands, but he is dressed in something, and I didn't think the Others that they showed last season ever wore something over their chest, plus the face is different...more human like, and the horse is not as dead looking. I dunno, but would be cool if it is him.

I'm still wondering about Lady Stoneheart. I did read an interview with the actress a while back that had me thinking she would be on there. She certainly didn't say she would or wouldn't be, but the way she said you have to watch and find out made me think she will be in it.

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to it being Coldhands. Part of the allure in my mind though is the fact that they weren't sure he was dead for about half the way up and you never saw his face.

Yeah, if it's Coldhands, then it will be hard for the show not to give away whether he is BenJen Stark or not.

Looks like GRRM released one new paragraph from TWOW. It's the first paragraph of a Tyrion chapter that will be released in full soon as part of an update to an ASOIF app.

Nothing earth shattering, just Tyrion about to be involved in the Battle of Mereen.

Sounds like Joffrey is getting married in episode 2. That should be a good one.

They pretty much ruined the third book by splitting it up into two seasons. The book was so great because so many things happen that completely change the landscape of the story. In the show the entire third season was just a setup for the Red Wedding. Felt like a "filler" season which is sad since it's 10 episodes.. sort of like the entirety of a Feast for Crows which was completely shite ROFL

keg in kc 03-04-2014 09:37 PM

If they're really following Oathkeeper the way it goes in the book, wouldn't that mean that Stoneheart has to be a part of things by season's end? Or maybe introduce her late and leave it for next season.

Hawk 03-05-2014 02:37 PM

Oathkeeper might just be Jaime giving Brienne the sword and sending her out on her way to look for Sansa.

In book 3, Lady Stoneheart appears at the very end in the epilogue. They could do that on the show too I suppose, but I think it would make more sense to intro her early this season in order to show Beric finding her and giving her life.

I disagree on ruining book 3 by splitting it, I think that way too much happens in book 3 to really try to squeeze the whole book into one 10 episode season, and it would have ruined it to try to cram it all in. There is still a lot of action to come this season from just the last 1/3 of book 3.
