Yeah, they looked pretty impressive against Indy a couple weeks ago. Are those the post-season accolades you're referring to? Or perhaps the 'impressive' showing against Seattle in the Super Bowl last year?

Like how you framed your response in relation to Stuckey, as opposed to Talib or Harris, knowing it wouldn't fit the narrative quite as well.

Well done. Kudos to you, sir!

Glad you mentioned incomplete narratives, because that's why I reminded you of 2008. Don't want you to leave out details. Be glad Talib declared early or else it would've been much worse

It would have been much worse than 478 total yards of offense? /shivers

Good thing Mizzou didn't lost any all Americans from the 2007 team to early entry, by the way...

Aqib Talib was a first team All American and named MVP in a BCS victory.

I'm not sure he was too concerned with returning to college in order to defeat missouri a 2nd time.

Saul Good 01-26-2015 09:33 AM

He wasn't too interested in trying to finish ahead of Mizzou in the Big 12, either. He was smart enough to know that it had never happened and was never going to happen.

Was that part of the package they paid for?

Tyrod Taylor got picked off by both Talib & Harris in the Orange before going on to be Flaccos backup in Baltimore a few years later. He probably watched the Pro Bowl to get another look at those megastars and feel a little less badly about the BCS loss

Who knows. Missouri never won the Big 12 so it doesn't matter either way.

Saul Good 01-26-2015 09:47 AM

2008 was the last year Kansas won more than a single conference game. That's impressive. I mean, the conference schedule has even been expanded to add a game, and nothing has changed.

Yeah. The Pro Bowl. The 'true' measure of a successful NFL career. What a very 'Chief-fan' thing to say . . . .

Talib, Harris, and Stuckey vs Kam Chancellor, Brandon Flowers and Macho Harris.

I doubt you'll ever find a college football game in history with more talent in the defensive backfield.

Not sure it mattered since we lost in Norman 45-31 and likely wouldn't beat that Sooner offense even with Talib. I guess it was closer than the 62-21 vicious ass-raping Mizzouche took from them

It's too bad they don't get to play Kansas.

Saul Good 01-26-2015 10:00 AM

Talib was the last Kansas player drafted in the first three rounds. I guarantee not a single poster on here can name the last one before him without looking it up.
