Giant Bomb's Too Human review echoes pretty much every reason why I decided to get it from Gamefly after playing the demo.<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0" width="640" height="360" id="gb_player" align="middle">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" />
<param name="movie" value="http://www.giantbomb.com/video/video.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" />
<embed src="http://www.giantbomb.com/video/video.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#000000" width="640" height="360" name="gb_player" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" flashvars="paramsURI=http%3A//www.giantbomb.com/video/params/28/?w=1" />
</object>

I really wish it would ship, though. It's obviously flawed, but the more I played the demo, the more I liked it.

So Braid is pretty sweet, but seems like it will be over pretty fast. Some of the puzzles are pretty tough.

I think Too Human is getting too much hate, mostly because Denis Dyack doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. Sure Too Human has its flaws, but its still a solid game. I enjoyed the demo, and most of the people I have spoken with that have bought the game like it. I don't think it deserve some of the awful scores it got. Its not Lair.

I love this game. I have 4 puzzle pieces left.

It's no walk in the park.

He pretty much ensured that the game would get panned by a lot of people the moment he waded into the waters of NeoGAF and started projectile vomiting chum all over the place, then followed that up by going around the podcast circuit and yammering on about how "scientism" seeks to ruin his game AND society as a whole.

Xbox Live in youth voting drive

Americans will soon be able to use Xbox Live to register to vote in the November presidential elections.

Microsoft has signed a partnership with activist group Rock The Vote to boost interest in the upcoming election among young people.

As part of the tie-up Xbox Live members will also be able to take part in polls to gauge their voting intentions.

A forum on Xbox Live will also be used to gather opinions from gamers that will be shared with candidates.

"To realise our goal of registering two million young Americans by this fall, we need to go where young Americans are," said Heather Smith, executive director of Rock the Vote, in a statement. "There's no doubt in our minds that many are on Xbox 360 and Xbox Live."

Microsoft said that the Rock The Vote campaign to use Xbox Live would begin on 25 August.

In the past Rock The Vote has also worked with MySpace to encourage bands that promote their music via the social networking site to get fans to register to vote.

Through the partnership with Rock The Vote, Microsoft is also planning to have a presence at the Republican and Democrat party conventions to educate politicians about it and its members views.

Some aspects of Xbox Live are free but for a monthly fee members can take on other console owners in online games. In the UK the annual fee for the service is £39.99.

In May 2008 Microsoft announced that it had 12 million subscribers for Xbox Live spread across 26 countries.

Guess I won't be logging on to Live next week. You pay for the service and get bombarded with ads anyway.

Yeah but I don't think that update will change the ads.

Pretty much looks like another Diablo clone.

The update will make the dashboard much less of the cluster**** it is now though.

I was able to obtain all 60 puzzle pieces in Braid without the help of any guides whatsoever. :) Some on World 6 took me a couple hours. :banghead:

Now as for the story....I'm lost as hell. I am trying to figure that out with help.

Not sure if I'll ever attempt the speed run or trying to find the hidden stars I keep seeing people talking about.

After ~4 hours, I like Too Human.

It is fun.

I hear you go around just slaughtering shit. I think thats why i am going to enjoy Star Wars game. It doesnt seem to complex, but it goes back to the mayhem that we used to get in video games.

Basileus777 08-24-2008 10:32 AM

I'm seriously addicted to Too Human. I've beaten it on co-opt and am on the last level in single player. I don't know what game the reviewers were playing, Too Human is awesome. Its just incredibly fun.

The right stick combat actually works very well once you learn how to play. The camera isn't much of an issue if you use the ISO camera.
