Is there some new FIFA bylaw that states if your goal keeper is black, he must be bald with a full beard?

It's not the goals that make it intense, but rather the chances. If a 0-0 game had a bunch of chances in it, it was probably amazing to watch. Sure, a tie is never satisfying but the good thing about knock-out stage is that there are no ties.

I love the super low-scoring game that soccer brings. If there were scores every 5 minutes then we wouldn't see the celebrations that they bring. Crowds go nuts.

I've described it before as akin to sex. The slow buildup and then BOOM! Many people can't handle delayed gratification. That is why they don't 'get' the sport.

I was thinking something along the same line. I was hoping this one would go to extra time and get them a bit more worn out in case the US wins. I don't know how much the extra 30 minutes would mean in 4 days, but it certainly won't be beneficial.
