Day 12 without a cigarette. I'm noticing I can smell a lot better already.

Sweet. What kind of set up are you using? Tank, mod, nic level, etc.

Just sticking with the same one for now. Reuleaux 300, Ijoy Limitless Classic, 3mg nic, .3 ohms, 50-60 watts.

I think something just clicked this time. I was at work and walked out to the dumpster at the end of the parking lot and chucked my pack/lighter in. Haven't had one since. Using Zyn 6mg (nic pouches like snus) for a little extra nic when I need it.

Tasting food again is nice, also.

If you are like me, after about 6 weeks or so if you truly cut cigarettes completely, the smell of cigarette smoke will be extremely sensitive and probably a bit nasty. It subsides, but to be honest, I don't even think about or crave a smoke. The day I bought my first ecigarette, and then eventually a vape box, I haven't had a smoke or even a drag off one since.

I think for people who smoke and vape, once they do both instead of substituting vaping for smoking, they make it a lot harder on themselves to actually quit.

Congrats & keep up the good work!

Thanks. I can notice it a little already. I can smell cig smoke on people now. Couldn't do that before unless they were smoking right in front of me. I realize how much I must've stank now. Getting into the car and not lighting up is the hardest part right now.

I keep waiting for that myself. I hear similar stuff from ex-smokers all the time. My last cigarette was Nov 25, 2016 and to this very day I can't think of a sweeter smell than a freshly lit cigarette.

But I am like you on the doing both thing. I ,also, have not touched a real cig since I started vaping.

The routines are definitely hard to break, just substitute it.

They make juice that tastes like most brands of cigs, but I never found them that appealing, even though they are definitely popular.

The thing that got me in trouble was going for higher and higher Watt builds and using really tasty juices. I started craving the rough, nasty feeling of a cigarette. And my mod wasn't always easy to take with me wherever I went. If you ever run into that I have some posts recently in this thread describing what I did to get back on track.

Yeah, I've been interested in a couple of the mods/tanks you've posted. I'll see how this goes over the next week or so. Might end up grabbing one.

That Nautilus X with a 1.8 Ohm atomizer and a 4 ml extension at 12W to 14W is the best I have at mimicking a cigarettes lately. I had two 18650's in a Sigelei Fuchai last a week using it, lol. It seems to be about 2 ml for the equivalent of a pack of smokes at that wattage so the extended tank is good for a couple of days for me. The Vaporesso Aurora (Zippo look alike) is perfect for mimicking about half a pack of smokes so it's a good one to take to work, if you work in a relatively clean environment. The Kanger Tech EVOD Pro is great but you need the right atomizer. The 1.5 Ohm is OK to start but way too weak 1/3 of the way through the battery. The 0.5 Ohm is a bit harsh to start but gets nice about 1/3 of the way through the battery. I'm still waiting for that shitty company (Element Vape) to get my 1.0 Ohm atomizers to me. So: Nautilus X at home, EVOD Pro to carry around, Aurora for my pocket vape.

Oh yeah. I just wanted to say that I am pretty disappointed with what Sigelei has been doing with their mods lately. I think I got the last good mod that they made. The original Fuchai 200 Watt+. Everything since then has been unimpressive. Seems like they went away from simple utilitarian mods that last forever. Now they seem to be trying to be trendy, and they are failing. I would no longer recommend a Sigelei mod.

Same. I just got a new one, and opted for the Joyetech evic primo mini.
I had the Sigelei Spark, and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Obviously, I got really adventurous with my replacement!

The design shape of the mod works best for me because I can take it with me wherever I want, and the longer, narrower profile does better in fitting in my pocket without taking up the entire space.

The Evic Primo is pretty much the same. It seems to hit more consistently delivering quality vape. I'm not a cloud chaser, and never got fixated on higher and higher wattages. I just want a reliable and good mod to use with my mouth to lung tanks.

The few downsides are the battery life of the Joyetech is definitely noticeable - it probably goes through a battery cycle in about 2/3 the time of how long I could get from my Spark.
I guess a trade off for somewhat more reliable hits (?).
Second, the Joyetech menu and button imput is way more disorganized. The Sigelei button features and menus were rather intuitive and easy to use and adjust even if you never opened the instruction manual.

For me, I wanted to get a replacement Sigelei, but their current product line didn't have anything that attracted my eye and the mod shapes weren't my ideal. For one thing, why do I want led accent lighting on the device that draws unnecessary attention, like I'm some 14 year old dork with a glowstick vape box, and why would I want a feature that is going to drain my battery life faster?

I'm pleased with my purchase - it was like $29. It's not anything fancy that has new options or features to toy around with, but the build quality is solid so far, and the carbon fiber black is tastefully done.

We'll see how it holds up, because I beat the living shit outta my Sigelei and it's still working fine.

listopencil 06-14-2017 04:43 PM

Yup. I was looking around because it has been over a year since I got the Fuchai. The thing is still going strong but I have been eyeballing Vaporesso. They got my attention with that little Zippo thing but they have held it with the design of their mods, the quality of their coils, and the functionality of their Omni board. Now that I have pretty much settled down to the Nautilus X at home I could get away with a single battery mod.

Agreed. The whole vape situation has gone further than I truly care to go. I had to get back to the basics as well. You could spend a fortune trying to keep up with all the new stuff continuously churning out.

Keep me off cigarettes, and provide me a viable means to decline my nicotine, and the rest is just fluff.

Guess I'm getting older... Or the kids are getting needier... 🤔

I know vaping in not 100% safe. But, I will take it over smoking any day.

Came across a youtube video of a guy who shared his lung x-rays when he smoked several years ago vs. a lung x-ray afterwards, when he started vaping and had been for several years. Pictures showed the lungs improved and repaired quite a bit of the scar tissue.

A lot of people/organizations want vaping gone for a myriad of reasons and are often associated with the research being done. I'll still cop a smoke once in a while when the opportunity presents and I'm amazed at how coarse it is on my lungs and how the chemicals hit my blood stream. Often feel slightly nauseous afterwards...but then again, I don't use nicotine in my e-juice.
