Seems like your reasoning was right. It sucks but theres no reason to pour even more money into that sunk cost.

Are you saying this situation isn't very weird? Has anyone ever been day to day for 3 months? Has any team acted like its up to the player to decide when it's time and then a month later the player still isn't playing?

BAM

What exactly is Eric Berry's level? One of our cheerleaders. That is Eric Berry's level.

We're nearing ACL territory.

I'm betting it's him not wanting that. It would have been in the teams best interest at this point to have had that surgery in the summer at the latest

That’s what I keep going back to in thought is the location of the spur. Years ago I’m talking about former DL John Browning and either a chiefs dot com presser or star article and Carl Peterskin talking about Johns recovery time frame and remember hearing or reading him say the Achilles tear was high enough in the tendon, not low in the tendon that they had no concerns about ability to come back and when the tear is low enough close to the heel is where they worry with football players and it potentially being career ending. That’s 20 years ago and medicine has obviously advanced but that’s the confusing part to me is where they would have to detach/cut the tendon to actually get to the spur. Then the natural thought to me who knows jack shit with the construction of the heel leg foot is why don’t they try to get at it arthroscopicly with some mini dremel set up and debur that sumbitch. I don’t know if any of that’s accurate but it’s my thoughts every time I think of the end game on him getting that fixed. I could be reading things all wrong.

We're way past that. We are over 13 months since he's played

I ruptured a ****ing tendon and within a 3 month span I had it reattached let it heal was walking again and going to rehab...

It's kind of insane how long all of this is lasting.

Should have just amputated right after he went down 14 months ago.

Because nobody can on the Chiefs.
