Utah kicks a last second FG and wins by 4. Saul is 1-1.

Crazy ending

Great ending last night between Vandy and Ole Miss, I caught hte last 5 minutes of the back and forth. Must've been pretty rough on Saul though having to keep switching tee shirts based on who scored last.

I would normally respond with a mildly witty comment about Mizzou football, but I just don't have any ground to stand on after Snyder went full Ron Prince this week.

Mizzou is going to suck this year, and KSU will figure it out. I'm not sure the Cats have the right guy on trigger.

We will see. I would never use a pocket passer at KSU. KSU is a 6-6 to 4-7 team at best if they don't shift to a running QB.

Smart KSU fans know that the end is coming or it is already here.

Easy there. You guys may not repeat as conference champs, but I'd be shocked if K-State didn't win at LEAST 8 games.

Even Snyder gets bested by an inferior team looking to make a mark from time to time.

Pretty incredible that 20% of the teams in a BCS conference lost to FCS teams in a single weekend (including the defending conference champion), another team barely escaped an FCS team...and the three-time defending cellar dweller didn't even play.

no I was agreeing with you - Norfolk State beat MU and proved they were better, this is the point you were making about results mattering more than data. I'm paying you a compliment here, maybe my focus on data was disproved by Norfolk?

That was the 2011 basketball season. It happened. I can't fathom how you could possibly think I still give a shit about that game. I'll take walking out the door with the trophy in the last Big 12 game we ever played over a first round game 10 times out of 10.

It's the 2013 football season. The only fanbase that should still care about 2011 basketball is Kentucky. The SEC's token basketball school shits all over the Big 12's token basketball school.

Kansas has the longest running stretch of appearances in the NCAA tournament. They are currently 3 years away from the all time record.

Now if you've never won the championship then I would say of course you'd take that followed up by an NIT appearance.

For a certain few schools though an NIT showing is awful. For KU it's unfathomable.

We're up to basketball talk from a quarter century ago. Kentucky won more titles than Kansas at that time...and they have won more since then.

Nothing to be ashamed of. Kansas has a really good basketball tradition. Kentucky just happens to have a great one. If you ever want to figure out good from great, it's pretty simple.

Great program: We have 8 national titles

Very good program: We have made the tournament a bunch of times in a row.

Bearcat 09-04-2013 01:07 PM
