We better get more than just a 2nd.

i find it hard to believe they are going to recoup that early 2nd round pick back they give up for Smith
actually its impossible if they trade the 1st overall pick at best they get the other teams 1st and their 2nd rounder + whatever in the future, which is not better than the pick they gave up for Smith so no, impossible to recoup that compensation value wise. |

If what has happened so far is any indication they'll trade down, and draft Manti Teo.

if they trade down it better be a skill player and not a d-line or o-lineman thats all im going to say
CB, safety, WR, anything |

No, he would have the smallest or 2nd smallest hands in the NFL at 8.6 inches. Alex Smith is considered to have small hands for an NFL QB, his are 9.375 inches. |

somehow, I have to believe there is more to this trade than what's being reported so far.
For god's sake, didnt we get Vrabel thrown in with the Cassel deal? Maybe Ted Ginn Jr for return duties at least? On the surface, a trade this bad hasnt happened in KC since the royals traded David Cone to the NY Mets for Ed Hearn, Rick Anderson and Mauro Gozzo. |
if they give us Chris Culliver or some crappy CB of theirs in this deal i will stab my eyes out

Hamas' Last Theorem:
Whatever is the worst case scenario for the Chiefs will always happen. What is the worst thing that could happen for the Chiefs: Spending multiple valuable picks on another backup QB, drafting a LT to replace a very good one, and giving said QB an extension. What will happen for the Chiefs: They will trade multiple valuable picks for Alex Smith, extend him, then draft Joeckel to replace Albert after they fail to trade down. |
