Chiefs fans were ok with Tyson Jackson, they better get on board.

Amazes me. |
As a whole, the Chiefs fan base is a giant true fan. They really just want to be safe, have Arrowhead full, and BBQ in the air.
However, like it's been said before, drafting a QB at 1 is win win. The true fans will be happy, cause they don't care who we pick, and the real fans will be happy. |

I just dont understand how taking a QB is any "riskier" than taking any other position. Have these true fans not seen our D-Line busts the past decade!? Other positions bust just as much as QBs. QBs should be the only position where you shouldn't be "afraid" to pick because its by far the most important position and if you don't have one, you're going nowhere. Yet its the other way around with these true fans. Doesn't make any sense. |

Well, for one, CP is the small small percent of fans. Most of them are pretty superficial in that they listen to 810, 610, ESPN etc. They just go along with what they are told.
If the sports radio here would get guys on that said, "The Chiefs should take a QB, Geno/Wilson/Barkley are absolutely worth it, can't win without one" etc, they would be fine with it. Here in a month, they'll be fine with it. |
@evansilva: ESPN's @mortreport called Luke Joeckel "probably the frontrunner" to go No. 1 to #Chiefs, but he's "got a feeling" Andy Reid may take a QB.
|
There is a fair amount of buzz building that the Chiefs will take a QB, basically like most here thought there would be.

When does FA start by the way? Once we re-sign Albert, all the talk will be us taking a QB...most likely Geno. |

Right now. RT @ChiefsOsFan When can teams try and sign their own Free Agents before league year starts? |
Shit then, lets get this stuff done.
|
You can resign after the SB, March 9-11 is when we can start talking to others I think
|
Can't you sign players before the start of the new league year? I'm a little fuzzy with the rules these days.

Pretty interested to see how Geno measures out at the combine. Hands and height primarily

Looks like Geno has bulked up a bit.

Excellent fan post over at Arrowhead Pride on Geno's accuracy vs Cassel's last season. It's startling how much better Geno already is than what we've thrown out there the last several years

Thanks, WildTurkey. I wrote that.

1. you have to be sick to watch that much cassel 2. how ****ing blind and clueless was scott pioli |

2. Yeah...still can't believe he put his job on the back of that dude. |
I was reading the Tyler Wilson thread, and they were talking about how much McNabb threw the ball 40+ yards in the air with Reid. I still can't believe Cassel only threw one pass more than 40 yards in the air all year. You'd think he'd accidentally throw a couple more.

players had to hate playing with cassel... |
I also found it interesting that Cassel threw a higher percentage of passes at the LOS than Geno did this year. Wonder what the Geno detractors would say about that?

He does look like he's put on some muscle, dunno bout 15 pounds

NFL Philosophy @NFLosophy
Remember how you heard a lot about Matt Flynn last year? Media made it seem like he was strongly desired. W/ scouts, he wasn't. Same w/ Geno NFL Philosophy @NFLosophy It's not that he's not serviceable, but there isn't really anyone in the league I've heard that's sold that Geno Smith as a franchise QB. |
Well, if a former intern says it's true, it must be true.
|
I wish people would quit posting Scott Pioli's tweets and lists and anything that ****er says, writes, or thinks

Didn't Matt Flynn end up getting a huge contract? Usually a scout should be thrilled with a guy to get a contract like that. 19.5 million over 3 years (Flynn's contract) is more than you'd have to pay for Geno in the same amount of time.

Exactly what is a NFL operations manager?

I have no idea, tried to find it online, couldn't.
Just wondering if it had anything to do with player evals, cause this guy thinks he's pretty good at it. |

Yeah, he has. It's weird. Most of his stuff is pretty good, then he'll rant on some bs.

We haven't heard a lot about Geno. The media has NOT AT ALL made it seem like Geno is strongly desired. Quite the opposite actually. |
Me and him arguing on Twitter lol...apparently Geno isn't a WCO QB now...beyond a joke.

He said WVU's offense is all screens and slants, and thats why his completion perc, is that high.

Does any Geno fan actually think we won't draft him? I don't know if it's just blind faith, but I'm 100% sure he'll be the pick. The Joeckel shit will die down after Albert re-signs and then the media idiots will start mocking Geno to us. But I'm already confident right now that barring a catastrophic proday and terrible interviews, Geno will be the pick.

I think he's a lock for the pick.
I also think a lot of the Genokids are way too confident that he will be a good NFL QB. |

But its the Chiefs. I'll always be weary that the Chiefs will do the right thing. I can see us not re-signing Albert, signing Alex Smith and drafting Joeckel #1 and the Raiders taking Geno #3. That's just the kind of heartbreak I've had as a Chiefs fan. |
