How in the hell does IU have 4 timeouts still with 1 minute left, down 6? Is Roy Williams their coach now?

LiveSteam 02-26-2013 08:02 PM

They only down 3 now

Ceej 02-26-2013 08:03 PM

How's that an and one?

Minnesota definitely paid the refs.

LiveSteam 02-26-2013 08:03 PM

Wow! buried it

Pablo 02-26-2013 08:05 PM

Indiana is making it interesting.

Ceej 02-26-2013 08:07 PM

I hear the stupid "overrated" chant.

Ceej 02-26-2013 08:11 PM

GTFO SHEhe.

Al Bundy 02-26-2013 08:12 PM

Zeller with a flop.

LiveSteam 02-26-2013 08:16 PM

Hmm

mnchiefsguy 02-26-2013 08:16 PM

Big three pointer for IU...not over yet. MN has had trouble getting the ball inbounds.

Pablo 02-26-2013 08:16 PM

Damn, that dude shot that from Iowa.

mnchiefsguy 02-26-2013 08:18 PM

MN gets one of two...four point lead, three seconds left...all MN has to do is not foul at this point.

Huge win for the Gophers, they started the season hot, but had cooled off significantly in the last few weeks. This win should get them in the tourney.

Titty Meat 02-26-2013 08:19 PM

Indiana Avenue is going to take it all this year

Al Bundy 02-26-2013 08:20 PM

Gophers should be in it now.

I think so. Biggest win for them since making the final four in 97. They had not beaten a #1 ranked team since 1989. Biggest win of the Tubby Smith era.

Mr_Tomahawk 02-26-2013 08:24 PM

NICE! Both the schools who take from my paycheck monthly with big wins! #GOPHERS #JAYHAWKS

Did you not pay back your student loans when you went to Minnesota? Or are you paying some sort of income tax?

I will be paying loans back to both schools for the next few years.... :banghead:

I really love Tennessee's court and colors.

Probably because I ****ing love orange creamsicles.

Their orange is ****ing ugly. :D

However, their arena is very nice. I've been there a couple of times.

Creamsicles, dude.

If you don't like those, you're not awesome. Therefore that makes you a liar!

KC_Connection 02-26-2013 08:35 PM

See, the problem with Tennessee is that they suck.

Ceej 02-26-2013 08:39 PM

Yeah, not an and one. How?

Ceej 02-26-2013 08:46 PM

Tennessee has a real life hobo on their team.

KC_Connection 02-26-2013 08:54 PM

Nebraska losing by 20 at half to Wisconsin. Oh, what a joy watching that game must be. LMAO

Has to suck being a Nebraska fan in general.

DaKCMan AP 02-26-2013 09:45 PM

****ing pathetic performance for the third straight road Tuesday game. JFC - so damn frustrating. Goodbye #1 seed.

Thankfully Yeguete and Frazier are back on Saturday.

KC_Connection 02-26-2013 09:45 PM

Tennessee still sucks, BTW. I don't understand how Florida isn't scoring on them.

We always struggle @ Tennessee - we've lost 8 out of the past 10 there. So there's that, piss poor shooting, and a undermanned team.

DaKCMan AP 02-26-2013 09:51 PM

Another injury.... ****ing hell.

Pablo 02-26-2013 09:58 PM

The SEC is just soft as hell this year. What a putrid shooting display.

DaKCMan AP 02-26-2013 10:00 PM

What a terrible ****ing call.

DaKCMan AP 02-26-2013 10:02 PM

Terrible ****ing game. Rocky top can suck my dick.

Need to get healthy & Billy has a lot of work to do over the next few weeks.

KC_Connection 02-26-2013 10:03 PM

Well...that's just a horrible loss. No way to sugar coat it. I never thought I'd say this three weeks ago, but KU could very well be a #1 seed again.

Ceej 02-26-2013 10:10 PM

Yeah.

Real crazy KU has an outside shot at a #1 seed.

But, I think I would rather be the #1 overall #2 seed.

March can't get here ****ing soon enough.

I don't know that it's 'horrible'. It's definitely not a good loss, but that's UT's 6th win in a row and Florida was down to 6 regular players on the road where they never win. Then our two seniors shit the bed.

DaKCMan AP 02-26-2013 10:11 PM

I'd be very happy being the #2 seed in whichever bracket Duke is the #1 seed.

Tennessee isn't a good basketball team. Elite teams shouldn't lose like that to them (and that goes for KU losing to TCU too or any of the other shitty losses that have occurred this year).

I wouldn't even call it an outside shot at this point. They're probably there right now. They have a better resume than teams like Florida, MSU, Mich, and Miami. And I still kind of doubt they'll give Zaga a #1 (though if teams keep losing like this, they'll have to).

lewdog 02-26-2013 10:25 PM

Zags are frauds!

Really?

This is one of the years where I actually think they're legit and worthy of their ranking.

KC_Connection 02-26-2013 10:31 PM

Nah, they aren't frauds. But they really don't have the resume of a traditional #1 seed due to the conference they play in.

That's just it - there aren't any elite teams this year. And, FTR, losing @ TCU is MUCH MUCH worse than losing @Tenn

Losses (RPI):
Florida - @Arkansas (77), @Tenn (52)
Duke - @Maryland (67)
Miami - Indiana State (59), @FGCU (111), @Wake Forest (146)
New Mexico - South Dakota State (79)
Kansas - @TCU (226)
Louisville - @Villanova (55)
Georgetown - @USF (129)
Syracuse - @Villanova (55)
Arizona - @Oregon (49), UCLA (42), Cal (43)

Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Gonzaga haven't lost to any >50 RPI teams.

Different levels of shit maybe, but still shit all the same. I had put Florida in the true elite category, but it has become quite clear to me that they're not. The only teams who might qualify are Indiana and Duke with Kelly.

Florida definitely hasn't looked elite for a month or more - but when they were at full strength, to me, they were the #1 team in the country. Hopefully once Yeguete returns and if Frazier is healthy, they'll start clicking again.

Indiana is damn good and if you look at Michigan's resume it's pretty impressive.

I'm not scurr'd of duke.

Michigan hasn't beaten enough good teams to consider them elite. The fact that they've lost every big road game they've played isn't a good sign.

You should be. With a healthy Kelly, they're a much more complete team and probably the best in the country.

Ceej 02-27-2013 12:17 PM

Personally, I still think UF will be my pick to win it all.

I like Indiana, but Zeller looked pretty soft against a pretty physical frontcourt.

What a crazy year.

Ceej 02-27-2013 02:47 PM

As of today who is everyone's final four?

KC_Connection 02-27-2013 03:09 PM

Indiana, Gonzaga, Kansas, and Duke (assuming Kelly is in full health when he returns).

Ceej 02-27-2013 03:24 PM

I gotta go with Zags, Indiana, Florida....then I really don't know.

DaKCMan AP 02-27-2013 03:47 PM

Depends upon seeds and regions of course, but: Indiana, Florida, Michigan, Michigan St

Ceej 02-27-2013 03:57 PM

Yeah, I don't see that many B10 teams in the final four.

I don't either, but I don't see Kansas, Gonzaga, Miami, or Duke getting there. I can def. see 2 B10 teams there. Like I said, a lot depends upon the regions.

Ceej 02-27-2013 04:08 PM

If Elijah can maintain the level of ball he has been playing lately KU has a real good shot.

I agree about the seeding. But, I mostly just brought it up for discussion purposes and to avoid all of the Alex Smith threads.

KU is a better team than they were last year and they made it last year. And it's not like anybody else is really separating themselves to make me think KU is inferior to anybody. So I figure why not?

Of course, it's always with the caveat that the entire thing is largely a crapshoot that depends on the draw. Anything can happen, especially this year.

I can't wait for the chaos that is coming in March. I could see this being a year where not a single #1 seed makes it. The season has been nuts, every week it seem multiple top teams are going down.

I don't doubt that KU has the capability of making it all the way. Especially since they're paying off all the referees.

I choose not to pick them because if I do and they don't make it that far -- I cry myself to sleep.

It really makes no sense whatso****ingever. But, that's how I am.

KC_Connection 02-27-2013 07:29 PM

Michigan has allowed 76 points to Penn State (winless in the B10) so far and is down by 2 with three minutes left. Whatever happens here, those picking them may want to revise their picks, they play no defense.

Season ending losses don't feel good no matter what your expectations are.

Ceej 02-27-2013 08:02 PM

Penn State beats Michigan.

Looks like UConn and Georgetown are going to OT.

KC_Connection 02-27-2013 08:05 PM

So much for Michigan not having a bad loss, eh? LMAO

They can't play on the road at all.

KC_Connection 02-27-2013 08:39 PM

Porter comes through in the clutch again. The hype for Georgetown is growing (and it's rather deserving too). Still not the #1 seed that some are making them out to be, though.

Pablo 02-27-2013 08:48 PM

Final Four: Kansas, Indiana, Michigan State, Big East tourney winner(rode this the last two years)

warpaint* 02-27-2013 09:34 PM

Prior to tonight Penn State's best win would have been probably Bucknell.
College hoops really is fun on nights like this.
Never saw that coming.

Duke won't win this game. Not good enough to win on the road against a team of Virginia's quality.

But maybe they'll surprise me.

KC_Connection 02-28-2013 10:01 PM

And they didn't. Expected loss.

Ceej 02-28-2013 10:02 PM

Teams just trying to give KU a #1 seed.

Mr_Tomahawk 02-28-2013 10:05 PM

2 weeks ago I would have said no way KU gets a 1 seed.

Now...if we take care of business, we will have one locked up.

KC_Connection 02-28-2013 10:08 PM

If Gonzaga isn't focused tonight, they'll lose as well. Winning at BYU isn't easy.

KC_Connection 03-01-2013 12:35 AM

Big win for Gonzaga. Further solidified my belief that they can make a long run in the tourney. Olynyk is the best offensive big in the country.

DaKCMan AP 03-02-2013 11:03 AM
