And that's stopped the media before from reporting character damaging stories with no hint of truth?

Again, how many sex tape claims have been reported even when no one has seen the tape?

Again, I doubt the media is going to be nervous about spreading the rumor about some videotape existing. I'm sure they kept quiet because there is a lot of legal stuff involved if we are to believe what's supposedly in the videotape. Why would schefter have this much interest dating back to last fall if all there was to the story was a potential videotape with zero evidence it even exists?

Can you explain why this has been so hush hush, when the media doesn't have an issue making big deals out of stories with zero truth to them?

For some reason, the media has been extremely quiet about it. Not even hinting about what the rumor is. Seems like there is much more involved than verifying there is a video tape. There are rumors of sex tapes all the time where people can't verify one even exists. So how come for this particular tape, the media has known about it, spent a ton of time on the story, and has revealed absolutely nothing?

Maybe it was so hush hush because there literally was nothing to report. Even now all they can report on is a rumor.

I just don't see how you can say "They werent talking about something, so someone must have been forcing them to be quiet". Sound like something a conspiracy truther would say.

So let's say they knew about it 6 months ago and were forced to keep quiet about it. So none of them tried to acquire the tape just so they'd be the first to release it when rumors finally broke? In 6 months and with multiple media companies involved, none of them were able to get the tape?

And if they were told to hush about it, why are they acting like they don't know if it exists or not?

Don't know this guy, but saw it on twitter. Apparently he owns a scouting company.

Scott Bischoff
On Dez Bryant: I have not seen it, but I have heard about the video, heard all the details about what's on it and why it's coming out (1/4)
Bryant changed agents in November to Roc Nation and it was insinuated that the old agency was paying blackmail $$ to keep the video (2/4)

away from the public eye. Look at Jerry Jones’ reaction to Dez switching agents, not happy at all. Sounds like that $$ is no longer (3/4)

being paid and the Cowboys know it’s coming out, leading to a deal with Dez totally in limbo. Again, I have not seen the video. (4/4)

So, gotta connect the dots with all of this Dez stuff, just sharing what I have heard. Was told that the video is real, we shall see.

The rumor of a tape of this magnitude, even if it's total speculation, is beyond big news. You really think there's nothing to report? Look how many people were talking about this even without a single shred of evidence a tape exists. If this was news today, why wouldn't it have been last fall given that the story hasn't really changed?

And I'm not talking about a conspiracy theory. I am talking about a story with this much potential legal stuff at stake that even reporters who make their living off of gossip are being very tight lipped. Again, why would schefter have spent so much time digging into this if the only evidence that exists is some random guy shopping a video tape nobody has seen?

Perhaps the victim in this situation is Mike Catapano's intestines.

Excuse me Dez Bryant, but Javon Belcher will still be a bigger story.

NFL Media has produced the incident/investigation report regarding a 2011 incident in a Wal-Mart parking lot that involved Dez Bryant.

This is the incident that has been generating headlines and wild rumors over the last 24 hours. The report says an unknown person called police to explain a black female was "being dragged from one vehicle to another vehicle" by a black male. The vehicle the woman was dragged from was a Mercedes registered to Bryant. When police arrived on the scene, the alleged victim was not there. Soon after, she arrived in a Bentley with Bryant and said she had an argument with a man named Alex Person and that she was not assaulted in any way. The police let everyone go, determining there was no offense. It remains unclear if there is any video of the incident, although most Wal-Marts have security cameras. You can read the full incident report at the link below.

July 11th of 2011 is the date in question.....its being reported on First Take as we speak. No arrests were made. Involved Dez Bryant and a female. Dez tweeted last night "I can't continue to get betrayed like this" which was taken down within minutes. Seems like a game of dirty pool by the Cowboys from an incident from 2011 while bargaining contract
