Right up as far as my favorite episode in the entire run...still gives me chills when I watch it.

Loving the new season so far...hopefully if the ratings keep up, we'll get another season.

Much to the chagrin of my wife, I rewound the DVR back to this part for a second viewing :D

Hilarious episode. I hope these episodes are gaining enough interest to keep the ball rolling for another season or 50.

Tonight's episode was fun.

I wish there were at least 12 episodes this season instead of 6.

Is this a test run to see if it still garners enough interest or is this just a 6 and done? I've been under the impression we get 6 and they are completely done.

Hmmm. I'll be in the minority but I did not care for it. Campy, and flat...

Look! Mulder doesn't know how to use this fangle new phone camera thingy; tee hee!

Look! It's Murray from Flight of the Conchords as a monster! S'funny!

After the dumb scene 'chasing' the monster around a truck stop, I told my wife I'll do the dishes; I'm done with this stupid shit.

There were some swings and misses for sure but I liked it, especially once the actual concept of the episode became clear. I do think David and Gillian are trying a hair too hard in their banter but that's understandable.

Anyone see the tribute to Kim Manners on the gravestone?

Eh, I enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as 'Jose Chung's "From Outer Space"' but it was entertaining enough.

Put it this way: I'll take 99 times out of 100 versus the other network drivel.

Yep, for sure. Pretty cool.

Chieficus 02-02-2016 11:27 AM

Still don't know if I like it or not. Spent the first half thinking wth? Then the last half just cracking up.

I don't have any "inside" information regarding the future of the X-Files but I've read that Duchovny said he'd be down for 6 episodes per year, but not a full 24 episode season.

The interview occurred somewhere around the time his his 60's show about Manson aired ("Aquarius"), which to me was unwatchable, but was renewed for a second season.

I'd like to see 12 episodes, maybe six in the Fall and Six in the Winter, but I'm sure that everything hinges on Duchovny.

Dragged a bit at times, but it felt truest to classic x-files so far. Can't wait until we get back to the arc and see where we actually are going, after the theme of Mulder questioning and then rediscovering his want to believe.

Love that this show is back, even if it's just for a half dozen.
