Aaron Cosby is also interested in Missouri. This will be the ultimate battle to see which coach is better at attracting transfers. LOL.

We don't even have an open scholarship... So I'm not sure.

Should be a tournament team again, similar to this years and last years. We will be super young next year, with the potential to be something special a year or two later.

Ejim and Niang are the only two quality minute guys returning. Bubu will be back, but he should be nothing more than he has been previously... Just take a few minutes to give the PG a breather.

Gibson started at C to start the year, and he can be a threat when he gets the ball and was awesome his freshman year... But this year three guys would close in on him under the basket and he'd still try puttin it up instead of passing it.. And he got a little lazy on defense. So he was replaced by Niang. If he gets lets selfish and puts more effort on D he might be in the mix again, but our Juco coming in is said to have blown away all of our bigs in the gym this year.

Ejim and Niang will likely man the 4 and 5 again, and I'm guessing the two freshman will be our guard and either RS freshman guard SDW at the three or Juco SF Hogue.

@CycloneMBB: The Mayor will coach in the 2013 Reese's College All-Star Game at the Final Four. #cyclones http://t.co/52mk26FuMP

Was talking about in the Big 12

I like the Mayor ok, but has any coach without a single Sweet 16 ever been more lionized than this guy? Has anyone garnered Hero status with any resume less accomplished than Fred? I mean, look at Self's record by comparison. Like comparing Aaron Rodgers to Russell Wilson.

Not surprising really....I mean...its ISU.
For reference, their God is Johnny Orr....The greatest coach ever
at ISU.....

His record? Overall 218-200 and 79 -177 in the Big Eight.

He should of got Hero status after he somehow reached .500 his first year. He inherited an awful team, god awful. Then two tournaments the following years? He's only going to get better at coaching and he's getting better recruits each year. Selfs job was way easier. He inherited a good team, that constantly gets good recruits. Fred is taking us in that direction, it doesn't just instantly happen for a team like ISU with a first time Head Coach, who wasn't even and assistant coach before that.

Self's current job is definitely easy to win at. However, he started at Oral Roberts and Tulsa. He took Tulsa to 32 wins and an Elite 8 before going to Illinois. Where he won big as well. If Self can take Tulsa deep in the Tourney, Hoiberg should be able to at Iowa State.

I have no doubts that he will. I believe Morris, Thomas, and Niang will be apart of his first team to do it... That's two freshman and a sophomore next year. Not saying it will be next year, but they will do it.
