Clayton was correct. When you have a game manger at QB, you need a good OC to manage him. When you have a franchise QB, which KC doesn't have, you don't have to worry about OC as much.

Dallas and Denver won half the SBs in the 90s because they had the best running game.

Has it been said? The BrownspussyficationoftheChiefs.

You cant win SBs with this.

And they also had elite quarterbacks. They don't win shit without Aikman or Elway.

The Buccaneers and Ravens did.

Do you really think Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer would have played well enough to win the SB if Jon Gruden and Brian Billick hadn't been their playcallers? I don't, regardless of what their defenses were doing.

And the perfect example of this is Steve Bono and Paul Hackett in '95, with our #1 defense.

BigMeatballDave 05-22-2012 08:46 PM

My point here is OC doesnt mean squat when you have an elite QB.

Daboll may very well be a shit OC. Who knows?

We'll find out.

Either way, it doesnt matter until Cassel is gone.

That's irrelevant to our situation.

We have Cassel, so Pioli gets criticized for bringing in a shit OC.

Well, you cant ignore what the Defenses did because they were the reason they won their SBs. The QBs were just along for the ride.

I'm done. I can only assume you're trolling and being obtuse on purpose.

I'm not trolling.

Explain why Pioli doesn't deserve criticism for bringing in a shit OC.

Yes, but they also made key plays at key times.

It's entirely possible, had those QBs not been managed by competent playcallers, that they **** up championship dreams.

Like Bono and Hackett did in 95 with the Chiefs #1 defense.

Hammock Parties 05-22-2012 09:05 PM

Brad Johnson only threw 6 INT the season the Bucs won it all.

You gonna tell me Jon Gruden had nothing to do with that?

Part of the reason we went to the playoffs in 2010 was Cassel limiting his turnovers.

You gonna tell me Weis had nothing to do with that?
