Even if he busts, I'd love to sign that guy.

Yasmany Tomas would be the antithesis of everything we've ever done as an organization.

It would be so freaking exciting and awesome too. Again, the antithesis of our business model.

But wow, that would be sick. Should I? Sure, why the hell not. It's the offseason.

1. Cain CF
2. Gordon LF
3. Tomas RF
4. Hosmer 1B
5. Perez C
6. Moose 3B
7. Any brokedick DH
8. Infante 2B
9. Escobar SS

When Kaufman was around we'd sign crazy guys like the reigning NL Cy Young winner Davis.

I'd prefer to not see Butler back on the roster, but it looks pretty good otherwise.

Okay what the hell is up with the talk of a new downtown stadium again? The Star and KC Business Journal have both done stories and polls on it.

Hootie 11-12-2014 12:13 AM

We'll probably miraculously land the Cuban and he'll be the first one to suck

DeepSouth 11-12-2014 07:12 AM

If the Royals were to sign two players that were offered qualifying offers (Cabrera and Santana), would they still only lose one draft pick?

duncan_idaho 11-12-2014 08:07 AM

Nope. Thy would lose the first round pick and then whatever was tier next pick, whether it be a sandwich pick, a comp balance pick, or a second round pick.

Tomas is more likely than Cabrera according to Jon Morosi

WhawhaWhat 11-12-2014 09:13 AM

Maybe the Royals can get Yasmani Tomas and Ervin Santana in a package deal since they have the same agent.

Just sign both of them. Santana wants to be a Royal. Royals have never really been in the Cuban prospects but they feel like they have a legit shot at him. He would cost around 15 mil a year

How much would all this cost? I don't think this is likely unless we are getting rid of someone with higher salary (Infante comes to mind).

Santana wants years. So probably around 27 or 28 mil for Tomas and Santana
